He smells like Creed, and a pang stirs in my chest as I think about Maxim. I wonder what he is doing. I didn't call, and he hasn't called me either.

I learned my lesson being clingy with Santi. That approach with him didn’t work out for me. Now, I don't read too much into it when it comes Maxim or Santi.

I don't take it seriously. I take everything as a sign and go with what feels good. What feels right.

The bathroom with Santi was good. Kissing Maxim felt better. One man more genuine than the other. Niko and Ezekiel didn’t say anything when we got out and luckily, my brother was still upstairs.

Sometimes, I feel guilty that I’m falling for both and that they are brothers, and then there are times I don't because they've done worse, and it… happened. I didn't plan on wanting them both.

"No, I'm not. You were mad at me all the time."

"I showed you why earlier at the house. You saw what happened. I was doing you a favor."

I snort. "Yeah, right. You were doing yourself a favor."

"You loved it."

I look away with a smile. "I was being nice," I say, playing it off.

I liked it too much, but I would never admit it to him. That would give him too much power over me.

He walks over to the Rolls and opens the passenger door. "After you,Princessa."

"You're such a gentleman," I mock. "I wonder where you learned your manners."

"My father. He always holds the door for my mother."

"Do you always hold the door for all your girls," I tease.

"No, just one." I hesitate before getting in. "Hurry up, Elena. I might not make it to a pizza place and eat you instead." He lowers his voice. "From behind."

His words shoot right between my legs. Knowing he would, I slide inside, and he shuts the door.

"Why didn't you take one of your fast cars this time. I thought this car wasn't your favorite," I ask, lightening the mood.

Being around Santi lately has been intense. He looks at me like he wants to fuck me into a coma.

"It's more comfortable, and you never know, I might pull over and…"

"That's not happening. Friends, remember?"

"I think we are past friends, Elena."

"Then what are we?"

"I don't know yet. I don't like labeling things, but you are and always will be above everything."

"How does that work? I wasn't above all the other girls in your life."

"I was saving you, Elena. I never wanted to hurt you."

"You did."

"I know, but you don't get it."

He stops at a red light, and I ask," Get what?"

"You deserve bigger, Elena. You deserve the fairy tale. The flowers and beautiful first times. I'm not…" He trails off, struggling for words.
