Ely chuckled. “I told you she was our woman. I think it was love at first sight, and hell, I don’t even believe in that shit.”

A chuckle escaped from his friend.

“We haven’t known her long enough to make that decision,” Jordan said. “But, damn, she has crawled under my skin and it’s going to be hard when she leaves.”

“Damn hard,” Ely said. “I was about to give up on us finding a woman to share. And then we met Camila.”

Jordan nodded. “The only thing keeping me from saying she’s our forever woman is the fact that she still has us as suspects in this case. And yet, I completely understand why. But that doesn’t mean I like it.”

Just then Robin walked in the office door. “I’m leaving for the night.”

“See you tomorrow,” Ely replied.

“Where’s Camila?”

“She went to her brothers for dinner,” Jordan said.

The woman frowned. “What’s she doing in our town working on a case?”

Ely wanted to keep the rumors from spreading, but he also didn’t want everyone to know the truth. “She’s helping us with Marta’s case. She’s an expert on child abduction.”

“Oh,” Robin said. “Are we any closer to catching whoever took her?”

“No,” Jordan said. “We’re going through the details of the case one more time tonight to see if we can pick up anything we might have missed.”

“Good luck,” she said. “We’ve got to stop this son of a bitch.”

“Agreed,” Jordan said.

After Robin walked out, Ely shook his head. “I don’t think Robin likes Camila because she can see and sense the attraction between us.”

“Too bad,” Jordan said. “I know she wanted us to date her daughter, but that wasn’t going to happen.”

Laughing, Ely stood. “If we were in a committed relationship with Camila, that would no longer be a problem.”

“No, but Camila has to trust us. And I’m not certain she’s there yet. We have to get through this case and then we’ll talk to her.”

Ely couldn’t contain his grin. “Then let’s get to work. I don’t want Camila getting away from us. Let’s solve this case and claim our woman.”

CHAPTER11

Camila glanced across the table at her brother, his friend Luis, and his new wife, Stacy. “That was delicious, but I feel like I’m invading your honeymoon.”

The blonde smiled and shook her head.

“No,” Stacy said, “that starts next week and I can hardly wait. At the end of two weeks, we’ll fly into New York and pack up my apartment. Then I’ll be here full time.”

Camila liked Stacy. She seemed down to earth and they were already talking about getting pregnant. She was happy for her brother. At first, she’d thought this arrangement was very strange, but now that she’d experienced two men at once, she understood more about why it was so popular.

Plus, she’d gone to the SMU law library and read up about the founding of Blessing and how this practice had gotten started. Strange that it continued to this day. Strange that a family member of hers was participating andsheeven liked the idea of two men at once.

“So, all of you are happy with this arrangement?”

Her brother grinned. “Love it.”

Luis smiled at her. “Wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Stacy sighed. “Darling, once you try it, you’ll never go back.”
