PHOEBE

My own arousal still tingles on my lips as I walk back to campus next to Hunter.

I feel awkward walking around in public with a skirt and no underwear on. But knowing that Hunter, walking right next to me, is the reason that I’m not wearing panties is the weirdest turn-on I’ve ever experienced.

“You really need to clean your room,” I grumble again. I’m not going to let the fact that this no-pantie situation is a strange turn on take away an opportunity to needle Hunter.

He had way too many clothes, books, notebooks, and other random shit cluttering his floor.

“Maybe we should go to your place next time if my room isn’t up to your exacting standards,” he snarks.

Heat crawls up my neck as I imagine Hunter in my house. In my room.

Even though he’s shoved his head between my legs and kissed me with my own juices coating his lips, him being in my room is a thought that feels so intimate that my stomach does a little twist.

What would Casey think? I still haven’t told her about what happened last night.

What if I just surprised her? Brought Hunter home while she was in the living room, strolled through the front door like nothing was amiss, casually greeted her, and then walked upstairs with the guy we both know I haven’t been able to stand for twelve long years.

The thought makes a laugh bubble out of me.

“What’s so funny, Pheebs?” Hunter asks.

I fib, “Just thinking about how much of a pigsty your room is.”

“You know, Pheebs,” he drawls. “You sound awfully condescending for a girl whose panties are twirling around my finger.”

My head whips to him. My eyes go wide when I see my light-blue panties spinning around Hunter’s index finger for all of Ridley University to see.

I shriek. “What are you doing!”

I reach for my underwear, but Hunter just pulls his hand out of reach, laughing at my feeble attempt to grasp them.

“Give me back my panties!” I whisper-shout, blushing, glancing around self-consciously to make sure no one’s looking.

Hunter’s laughter vibrates in the air. Finally, he hands them back and I quickly shove them in an empty space in my book bag.

“Don’t worry,” he says casually. “No one’s looking.”

I narrow my eyes and set my lips straight and flat. “Someone’s always looking atyou, Hunter.”

A wry smile lights up his face. “Speaking from experience, Pheebs?”

I roll my eyes, huffing a nonplussed breath through my nose. “So arrogant.”

“You wouldn’t have me any other way.”

* * *

It’s beena couple days since I hooked up with Hunter for the first time. Since then, he made me come between classes and temporarily stole my panties afterwards, and we had another quickie two days later when we were both leaving the community rink at the same time.

I’ve been putting it off, but it’s time to tell Casey.

I get home from class one day to find her lounging on the couch, scrolling on her phone. “Hey, Phoebe,” she greets me, not looking up.

I plop myself onto the couch next to her. “I have something to tell you.”

Casey keeps her eyes on her phone. “Finally running off to join the circus?”
