I break the kiss to swipe my tongue across her throat, leaving a trail of kisses across it to her shoulder before I find her eyes again with mine.

“So beautiful,” I whisper, as I push my weight in to hold her so I can lower my hand. Finding her heat at her centre, I use my thumb to rub circles. Her own hand joins mine guiding my thumb across the tiniest fraction.

“Right there. That’s the spot,” she encourages, as her eyes roll back while she enjoys the sensation. “Faster and don’t stop,” she directs, and I watch enraptured as she gives instructions on how to make her feel good. It isn’t long before she squeezes her eyes shut and a moan rips from her throat. Her body shakes with ecstasy. Her hand touches mine, so I know to stop as her lazy smile finds me.

“You’re amazing,” she whispers. “I’m ready for my test drive now.” Her words make me laugh so loud.

“Now who's being greedy?” I tease.

“When it comes to you, I think I’ll always be greedy,” she confides, which has me taking her bottom lip between mine and pulling. “Now fuck me husband.” Her wide smile directed at me. I kiss her lips again as I line myself up with her centre. One hand holds her hip to give me better access as I ease myself in. Our moans fill the air as I do what she asked. Our fingers glide over wet skin as the shower stream pelts down on us. Her arms hold on tight as I pick up momentum and reach down again to the spot to help her. She helps guide my fingers to the spot again and moves my fingers how she likes. A minute later and she falls apart in my arms again. I follow behind her, finding my own release.

Sated and spent, my forehead falls to the curve of her neck to catch my breath. Her own breaths slow the longer we stay like that.

“I’m going to be the greedy one,” she confesses, breaking the moment and sending our laughter into the air.

“Let's get you to bed before you drain me of all my energy, little bird,” I tell her, as I break our connection and lower her. We wash off quickly before we step out of the shower. I wrap her in a towel before I grab one for myself. Once dry I drop my towel and pull hers off her and lift her naked body over my shoulder.

“Renzo,” she squeals, as I lightly smack her butt as I strut down to my room and drop her on my bed. With her wild hair spread out around her, my heart fills with emotion at how lucky I got. Her perfect smile stares at me with a beautiful shine in her eyes.

“Thank you for taking a chance and marrying me,” I softly say, as I lift her arm and kiss the inside of her wrist.

“Thank you for thinking of me as worthy enough to marry,” she whispers, as her smile drops, and her expression turns serious.

“There’s no one on this earth I ever thought of marrying except you little bird,” I tell her, and she lifts her head, seeking my lips. I lower myself and we spend the rest of the night exploring and I fall more in love with this woman who is becoming my everything. We fall asleep in the early hours of the morning with her head lying on my chest, her fiery hair surrounding me and a contentment inside I’ve never felt before.

Chapter Twenty Seven

Sophia

“Come on little bird, I’ve got a surprise for you for our Sunday together,” Lorenzo says, as I sit at the beloved kitchen table, blowing on my coffee to cool it down.

“It’s so early though,” I whine, as I pull a knee up to rest my chin on it. My eyes linger on my husband’s naked chest and the rumble of his laugh catches my attention.

“Like what you see?” he teases.

“Eh it’s okay if you’re into that kind of thing,” I tease, as the blue ceramic mug touches my lips. The hot liquid hits my tongue and warms my throat.

“Well, you were enjoying it last night and the night before too.” His smile widens as my face heats under his gaze.

“Hmmm I might need a reminder of what I liked. I’m quite forgetful.” My words have his head dropping backwards as his laughter echoes in the room.

“I’ll make you a deal, you come with me for your surprise and then I’ll give you a reminder later.”

“Sounds like a good plan,” I say, my eyes look at him over my mug as I take another sip.

“Finish your coffee and we can grab breakfast while we are out,” he tells me, as his eyes rake over my body.

After stopping at his favourite cafe for breakfast, he drives us to his auto shop. I haven’t been here yet, so he gives me a tour before showing me the surprise he has in store.

“Ta da,” he says, his hands held out in the direction of his motorbike I recognise. I raise a brow at him in question.

“Your bike is the surprise?”

“No, a ride on the back of my bike with your own gear is your surprise,” he explains, and as excitement stirs in my belly, I leap into his arms.

“Really?” I squeak at him.
