I’m naked and panting when his cell phone rings, slicing through the air.

Adrian continues to kiss me, and I link my feet over his torso.

He is tracing a path with his tongue down the slope of my chest when his phone rings again. He groans and buries his face in my neck. “I’m sorry. I should probably get that.”

I sigh. “Do you have to?”

He leans back to look at me. “I’ll be quick.”

Without waiting for a response, he stands up and picks his phone off the nightstand. He presses it to his ear and turns his back on me. Grinning breathlessly, I stand up and wrap my wet body around his.

I kiss and leave a path of wetness from the back of his neck down to the curve of his back. With a smile, I touch his ass, and Adrian’s voice turns husky.

He says something in a low voice, hangs up and tosses the phone away. “Where were we?”

“You tell me,” I mumble, in a throaty voice. “I’m having a hard time remembering.”

Adrian smirks and hoists me up. “I can definitely help with that.”

We fall into a heap on the bed, and my smile stretches from ear to ear.

Next morning,

“This breakfast spread looks amazing.”

Ahead of me, Adrian reaches for the tongs and fills his plate with a few slices of cheese and some sausages. “It does.”

“Eating light today?”

Adrian shrugs. “I’m not that hungry.”

I drift closer to him and glance around to make sure that no one else is paying attention to us.

With everyone else lingering over their coffee cups and their plates, the two of us aren’t drawing any attention. Smiling, I casually brush my hand against Adrian’s waist.

He brushes against the back of my hand, then he moves further down the buffet.

“You’re going to need a lot of energy for later,” I whisper, focusing my gaze on the array of cereals in front of me. “I know I will,” I giggle.

Adrian chuckles and stops at the omelet bar and says something to the chef.

I stand next to him and place my plate next to his. “Make sure his eggs are nice and runny. He likes that.”

Adrian gives me a warm look. “You remember.”

“Of course I do.” I give him a sweet smile. “I’ll see you later?”

Adrian picks up his plate, waits for his eggs, turns to me "I have a quick staff meeting down the dining hall. So, I'll see you soon."

I wave at him as he goes, watching as he walks over to Maureen and a few more staff members. I carry my own plate back to an empty table in the back.

All through breakfast, I can’t take my eyes off of him. Neither can any of the other woman in the room.

It annoys me to no end, especially when he smiles and wave at them at one point.

Get a grip, D. He’s just doing his job, remember? Besides, it’s not like you and Adrian are officially together or anything.

Hell, I’m not even sure we can be until he admits he has a problem.
