“You can call me Alexander.” I leaned back in my chair, considering her question. "It's a lot of responsibility; I won't deny that. But I've always been drawn to the challenge. Every day is a puzzle, a chance to create something incredible."

She looked intrigued. "And what's a typical day like for you?"

I took a sip of coffee, gathering my thoughts.

"Well, my day usually starts early. I review emails and catch up on the news in the real estate market, locally and globally. Then, I head to the office. Meetings, negotiations, and strategizing fill most of my morning."

Elizabeth nodded, clearly engaged.

"And what about the rest of the day?"

I smiled. "Lunch is usually a working lunch, but sometimes I take a break to clear my head. Afternoons are a mix of site visits, discussions with architects and designers."

"Sounds intense," she remarked.

I chuckled. "It can be, but I enjoy it. And like this one, there's always a moment for coffee." I gestured to our cups.

As the conversation flowed, Elizabeth's curiosity seemed insatiable.

"Tell me, Alexander, what's your favorite part of your day?"

I gazed out of the window, lost in thought. "I think it's when I fly above the city in my helicopter. It's the one time I can escape the chaos and truly appreciate the skyline. It's much faster and more efficient than using any of my cars and navigating the traffic in the crazy New York City streets."

She leaned forward, captivated by my words.

"A helicopter, huh? That's quite a luxurious way to travel."

I grinned.

"Well, I suppose it is. But it's also practical. Time is my most valuable asset, and the helicopter helps me make the most of it."

Our conversation flowed seamlessly, and I opened up more than anticipated.

I shared stories of challenging deals, unexpected successes, and even failures that taught me valuable lessons. Elizabeth listened intently, hanging onto every word.

Elizabeth looked at me thoughtfully.

"You know, Alexander, people never really think about the person behind the billionaire image. It's easy to forget that a real human is behind all this wealth."

I smiled, touched by her insight.

"I appreciate you saying that, Elizabeth. It's easy for people to see the success and miss the journey it took to get there.”

Since it was getting dark, the lights automatically came on. Elizabeth gave me a look of confusion and surprise. I quickly mentioned the lights.

“The lights come on when it begins to get dark.” She nodded at the explanation.

She had a hint of admiration in her eyes, and then she spoke.

"Thank you for sharing a glimpse of that journey with me.”

As the evening progressed, we continued talking, exchanging stories, and discovering common interests.

The connection between us grew more robust, and I realized that the tension I’d created turned into something entirely different.

As our conversation flowed, I realized I knew little about Elizabeth's aspirations and dreams. I know very little about her.

It’s only fair that I asked her about her work, so I leaned in with genuine curiosity.
