Allan raised an eyebrow, intrigued.

"Advice? Sure thing. What's going on?"

I took a deep breath, trying to find the right words.

“Well, after I left that meeting with Alexander yesterday…”

Allan nodded, his expression expectant.

"Yeah?"

I bit my lip, feeling slightly embarrassed.

"After meeting your brother, I met up with someone. Someone I've been chatting with on HINGE, the dating app.”

Allan's eyes widened in surprise.

"Wait, what? You didn't mention anything about this before. I didn't know you used dating apps.”

He looked amused, but I was glad he was buying it. I shrugged.

"It's new, and I wasn't sure where it's going. We met up after I met with Alexander…and… well…things happened."

Allan grinned mischievously.

"Oooooh, scandal! Spill the details, Liz."

I blushed, feeling a mixture of nervousness and excitement.

"We met up, and things were going well. We talked, laughed, and then... we had sex."

Allan chuckled.

"OMG!! You're such a slut, I love it. So, what’s the problem? Sounds like a successful date to me. Should I call it a date?”

I sighed, my uncertainty bubbling up.

"The thing is, I'm not sure if I should get my hopes up. I don't know if this will lead to anything more or if it's just a one-time thing.”

Allan stopped walking and turned to me, his expression serious yet caring.

"Liz, you're overthinking it. What do you want with this guy? Do you like him? Did you enjoy the time you spent together?”

I nodded slowly.

"Yeah, I did. I liked what I saw and how I felt when we were together. But I don't know if I liked him enough for things to get serious, even though I felt like I’d known him for a while. If you know what I mean." I held my breath at that.

Allan's eyes softened.

"Then trust your feelings, Liz. If you enjoyed his company and felt connected, that's a good sign. Sometimes, you have to go with the flow and see where things lead."

I sighed, feeling a bit of relief.

"You're right, Allan. I tend to overanalyze things but don't want to miss out on something potentially good by being too cautious.”

Allan smiled warmly.

“Exactly. Just be yourself and enjoy the journey. But remember, your eyes should be open, too. You need to pay attention to how he treats and makes you feel. Trust your gut."
