It takes only moments for her to find it. She uses her grip on my shoulders to balance herself as she lifts herself up and drops back down on me. Pleasure blasts down the bridge connecting us every time her bottom lands against my thighs. Hers. Mine. I hardly know.

I flip her backward, following her over. Desperate to be the one who drives her crazy now. She mewls as I drag her leg up over my hip, opening her to me. I attack her breasts with lips and teeth and tongue, using everything at my disposal to make this little Valkyrie sing as I pound into her, fucking her over and over.

She comes apart around me, crying out my name. I growl and go harder, deeper, no longer afraid of hurting her or taking too much. I cannot. She was made for me, the same I was made for her. I pour myself into her, fucking into her again and then again.

Her voice breaks as I flip her onto her stomach, taking her from behind. It's deeper this way. She's more obedient this way. I stare at the way I disappear into her, spellbound.

"I look good covered in you, Valkyrie," I tell her, sinking my hand into her hair to crane her head back. My lips come down on hers in a punishing kiss. "You look good taking me."

"Dax," she whimpers.

"This is what it is to be loved by a Fae." We aren't gentle creatures. But neither are Valkyrie. And she gives as well as she takes, scratching and clawing. Biting. Her claw marks adorn my back and shoulders. Her bite marks litter my chest.

I flip her again, needing her eyes on me when I knot her. If for no other reason than because I want her to know that she's mine in that way. That it's my seed deep in her belly, and my knot keeping it there.

"You want to come again, lyseste ljós?" I ask, reaching between us to stroke her clit.

She shakes her head, gasping. "I can't. I can't."

"Ja, you can. You will."

"Dax."

"Outside of this bed, your word is law, Valkyrie," I murmur, brushing tangles of hair from her face. "I'll obey every command you give, even to the death. But in this bed, I make the rules. Andyouobey." I nuzzle her throat, pressing my lips against her ear as I stroke her clit, pumping into her at the same time. "That's what it is to love this Fae, Rissa."

"Dax," she groans, her inner muscles clenching and fluttering around me. Her Light crackling like electricity gathering in thesky. She blazes brighter and brighter still, on the edge of an orgasm bigger than anything she's ever known. I feel it building in her, threatening to annihilate her entire world.

"Jeg elsker deg," I breathe against her skin, hoping to send her over the edge. "I love you."

She flares brighter than a supernova, splintering apart in a shower of Light that turns the room around us white. Not a single sound passes her lips, yet I hear the truth whispering from her soul as if she screamed it into a megaphone.

I love you, Dax.

I roar in triumph, in surrender, and release my power over her as my knot catches, tying us together. Her body goes rigid beneath me, another orgasm crashing into her as everything in my soul hits her in a tidal wave and she feels the knot for the first time.

I bury my face in her throat, groaning as my seed pours into her in a hot flood. She writhes and moans, nails scrabbing down my back.

"Dax, Dax," she cries. "I feel it. Oh, God, I feel it."

I growl, turning my face to claim her mouth as another wave of lust roars through me at her words, threatening to send us both up in flame all over again. Gods alive. If this is what the bond is like with a Valkyrie, I understand completely why no warrior ever survived the loss of it.

How could they? Why would they even want to try?

Chapter Ten

Rissa

"Stop looking at melike that," I whisper, covering my face as Dax stares at me, a smirking as if he knows a secret. He's been looking at me the same way for hours. I've never seen him smile so much. I've never seen him so happy.

It looks good on him.

"Nei, Valkyrie. I won't," he says, gently prying my hands away from my face. "I'm not ashamed of what they heard. Nor should you be."

"They heard everything, Dax," I hiss. "Everything."

"Not everything," he says, still smirking.

I smack him with a pillow, earning a laugh from him.
