“Fuck,” I hiss, pushing up into her one last time as I follow her over the edge.
She falls forward, her cheek on my chest. We’re both panting, out of breath. After a second, I roll us over so we’re still connected, and I press my forehead to hers.
We stare at each other for a minute, hour, eternity.
“What are you thinking?” she whispers.
“That I’m ready to give you everything.”
She smiles, and I feel the heat spread. The burn I felt once before, only this time, I welcome the flames. They can take me, as long as she’s the one wielding them.
