When he unexpectedly drops to his knees, my head falls back in pure bliss. Zane’s tongue on my pussy is by far my favorite foreplay. Not that I need any stimulation since I’m soaked through and through.

I’m shaking like a virgin when he strips away my leggings and panties in one fell swoop. And when he hikes one of my legs over his shoulder, I worry that I might not have the strength to stand at all. “I want to see your tits bounce with every swipe of my tongue, baby. Take off that fucking shirt for me.” Ah, that commanding voice has my nipples pebbling once again.

I rip it off but instead of letting it slide to the floor, I grab it with both hands and wrap it around the back of his neck and pull him in. “Be a good boy and suck my pussy while you’re down there.” A growl rips through his chest and before I know it, my other leg is draped over his shoulder, forcing me to drop the shirt. I’m clutching onto the counter for dear life when he plunges his tongue inside of me. I swear I see fucking stars!

“Tell me the truth, Lili. Do you think a boy could make you feel like this?”

I want to scream fuck NO when he swipes his tongue around my puckered little opening. Oh, why does something this naughty feel so fucking good? And why do I want his cock to replace his tongue? “Oh God, I’m going to come.”

“Baby, God has nothing to do with this. I want you screaming my name when you come on my tongue.”

Zane has me in a tizzy as he sucks, laps and licks me in all the right places. I desperately want to hold onto his head while I come, but I’m forced to hold on. With one last plunge of his tongue, he sends me over the edge. “I’m coming, Zane. Fuccckkkk…”

My legs spasm and my whole body shudders with the force of my orgasm. I can feel my release gush across his tongue and he laps up every drop. The aftershocks last forever when he continues to flick his tongue across my sensitive clit. “Stop, please. I can’t take it anymore.”

His lips glisten with my arousal as he squints up at me. “Oh, baby. That was just an appetizer and this is a seven-course meal.”

CHAPTER 27

ZANE

Lili doesn’t know it yet, but I’m in the process of selling Club Syn. That was why I had to leave her sexy ass for a very important meeting yesterday morning. Call me crazy, but I’m desperate to spend every minute I can with her. Especially since Nat mentioned another book tour coming up next year. I constantly worried about her traveling alone last time, so I’m determined to go with her.

Money is no object since I have more than I’ll ever need and if the deal goes through, Mike and Drew will be partners while I carry only twenty percent. I rather like the idea of them being partners and sharing the burden of running the club. I lived and breathed it alone for years, but since meeting Lili, I realized there are more important things in life. Now, she’s my top priority and all material things are second to none.

Unfortunately, this week we’ve been like two ships passing in the night. Last night was the exception to the rule. She wouldn’t have missed my opening for anything, and I was proud to have her right by my side. Today she was the one who was out and about at an early hour since she had a meeting with her editor. I wanted her to invite him here since this is also her home, but she relented. Now I’m starting to wonder if he’s so good looking that she was afraid I’d be jealous. Hmm, note to self, find out what the dude looks like and how old he is.

I’m just about to go into the studio when the doorbell chimes. I cringe just a tiny bit since the last time I had unexpected company it turned out to be Dakota. I walk downstairs and when I open the door, I’m livid. Alex the not so great—as Lili so well put it—is standing there. How presumptuous of him to think just because he purchased one of my collections, he now has the right to show up at my home. And how the hell did he find out where I live? It’s not public knowledge.

“Before you ‘shoot first and ask questions later,’ Mr. Sinclair, I have a very good reason for being here today.”

“As far as I’m concerned, there isn’t a good enough reason on the face of the earth for you to show up here without an invitation. Now, I suggest you turn around and leave before I call security for trespassing.” I’m ready for a fight when he steps aside, but I quickly stagger back when I recognize who he was hiding. When she touches his arm, he lets her pass and the next thing I know, Zoe’s standing in front of me.

For a beat, it’s a standoff as we stare each other down. I can’t help remembering how cold she was the last time we met, but there’s a softness about her that has me thinking something has changed. “I’m ready to talk now, Z. Is it too late?”

Oh my fucking heart!

“Never.” She throws herself into my arms as soon as those words leave my trembling lips. It feels as if the missing piece of my heart has just been united with its counterpart. She’s sobbing and, at the risk of sounding like a total pussy, I might have shed a tear or two. “C’mon, Zoe. Let’s go inside. And feel free to invite your bodyguard if you must.”

A giggle escapes as she turns around and reaches out her hand. “This one’s all yours, baby. Call me when you’re ready and I’ll pick you up.” He glowers at me and then says, “Take good care of my wife or there will be hell to pay, Mr. Sinclair.”

Wife? Well, fuck me sideways. I always thought she was married to a lifeguard.

At least now I know the real reason he purchased the Forgiveness collection. And why he suggested hanging them in his bedroom.

“I’m so sorry I didn’t go to your opening last night, Z. When I received your invitation I had every intention, but I got cold feet at the last second so Alex went without me.” I’m just about to ask what invitation when a certain someone pops into mind. Lili. She’s the only one who would have thought to do something like this. The million dollar question is, do I tell her the truth or do I let her believe I was thoughtful enough to send her one? Maybe it’s best if I just let it slide for now.

“I should be the one apologizing since your hubby spent quite a bit of money last night. I might have cut him a deal if I had known we were related.”

“Don’t worry about Alex. He comes from money and has more than he’ll ever spend. Besides, I think it’s rather flattering that he’d purchase those paintings when he has the real me to look at every day. I really can’t wait to see them, Zane. I’m so happy that you’re finally doing what you love to do. I’m just sorry that Mom and Dad discouraged you from pursuing it earlier on.”

“Don’t be. Everything happens for a reason. I was perfectly fine with Club Syn until a certain someone came along. So, I cut back on my hours there and started painting again and I’m happier than I’ve ever been.”

“The Zane Sinclair is a one-woman man?” I flinch at her words but she quickly covers it up. “Spill your guts, bro. I know it can’t be Dakota since I read in a tabloid that she just got married not too long ago. Who is the lucky woman?”

“That would be me.” Zoe and I both do a double take as Lili enters the room. My chest aches at the thought of these two women being in the same room. Something I never thought possible.

I stride over to my girl and pull her into my arms. Normally I’m not into the whole PDA, but I’m suddenly overcome with emotion since Zoe’s visit. I give my girl a kiss and then whisper, “thank you” against her lips. I know realization sinks in when her cheeks turn a subtle shade of pink. “Lili, I’d like you to meet my sister, Zoe.” With my hand on the small of her back, I guide her over to where my sister stands. Both women test the waters by checking each other out like women do.
