I swelled with pride at the way he choked on my name. The muscles tightened in his thighs, and I was disappointed when he used his new hold on my hair to pull me off. I followed his guide, crawling up his body until I could straddle him.

When he flipped us, I squealed, but he placed a single finger over my lips. “I haven’t even given you a reason to scream yet. What will you sound like when I do?” He wiggled his brows, and I smacked his chest.

“You already know what I sound like!” Seriously, Amanda? My cheeks warmed with the blush that creeped from my face to my neck. Judging by the satisfied smile on Drake’s face, mine was bright pink.

He chuckled before he kissed me, forcing my lips apart with his own and slipping his tongue between them. His breath was warm and sweet, and I whimpered, wrapping my arms around his neck to deepen the kiss.

He hooked his hand under my hip, lifting me slightly and running his cock along my slit. Each time he hit my clit, I whined, becoming more desperate for him to fill me. “Drake, I need you.”

He smirked, likely remembering all of the times I told him I didn’t need or want his help. In this moment, all I wanted was him, and when he lined the head of his cock up at my entrance, I rocked my hips.

“Patience,” he said softly, pushing into me at an agonizingly slow pace. His cock stretched me until he came to a stop, fully seated in me. “I want to take my time with you.”

I moaned when he pulled out and thrust back in with a firm punch. His weight on top of me was comforting and safe, and I wrapped my arms around him, desperate to get closer to him. The muscles on his back were firm, and I dug my nails into his skin until he hissed.

“I’m not supposed to like you,” I moaned, wrapping my leg around him.

Drake chuckled, hovering his lips over mine. “But you do. You like me a lot, don’t you?”

“Yes!” I cried out, half answering his question and half unable to tell him he was hitting the exact spot that was going to make me putty in his grasp.

He kissed me, drilling deeper into me like he couldn’t get close enough. Our breaths mixed with our moans. “I know you do,” he said with another thrust that sent me over the edge and into gentle oblivion.

My body shook with wave after wave of my orgasm, and Drake continued his smooth, even rhythm until he jerked, filling me with his own release. He grunted, resting his forehead against mine. Our bodies were slick with sweat, and when I kissed him, I could taste the salt on his lips.

“I like you a lot too, angel,” he said, rolling over and tugging me into his arms. He pressed his lips to my forehead, and I assumed he could taste the same salty mix from my skin. “Now we should probably get up. We have to be at work in an hour.”

“Oh shit,” I gasped, jerking into an upright motion. “Work!” What was I going to do about this at work?

“Amanda, this is Giacomo and Ronan Moretti,” Phil said. The two men he introduced me to were tall—and intimidating. I tried to stop my hand from shaking when I reached out to take theirs.

“Ah, as in the Amanda that found our new building?” the taller man introduced as Giacomo said, stepping forward. “My brother and I are impressed. I’m looking forward to working with you.”

Behind me, Drake stiffened, and I could feel his glare on us. I knew he’d stay professional, but I wasn’t surprised when he stepped forward, offering his own hand. “We’re looking forward to it as well,” he said. “It’s good to see you again.”

“It’s nice to meet you, Mr. Moretti. Both of you,” I said, shooting Drake a look from the corner of my eye that I hoped told him to back off. It didn’t matter that we had woken up together that morning or I was starting to like the thought of having him around a lot more than I wanted to.

“Mr. Moretti is our father, and thankfully he’s not involved in this deal in the slightest,” Giacomo said with a chuckle. “You’ll call me Giacomo. Please.”

I nodded when his brother stepped forward. “And call me Ronan. No need for formalities. I think we’ll all be good friends by the end of this endeavor.” His voice was lower than I had expected, and I fought a shiver that traveled down my spine.

“Giacomo, Ronan,” I said, addressing them in turn. “I’m so glad you liked my proposal. Please, have a seat.”

The men raised their brows but followed my direction, taking a seat in the chairs that surrounded the conference table. I didn’t miss their stares when I pulled my own chair back and sat down across from them. The tight black dress I had chosen to wear today had been mostly for Drake’s benefit, but clearly, he wasn’t the only one that enjoyed it.

“We love the building you suggested,” Ronan said. “We’d like to see it.”

“Then we’re going to need more like it,” Giacomo added.

I waved my hand, as if to signal that it would be no problem. “Let’s get this first building under contract, and then I’ll get you into any building you want. How’s that sound?”

Next to me, Drake grumbled. He looked angry, and the vein in his neck poked out, but both Moretti brothers grinned. “I think working with you sounds fantastic, Ms.…” He paused.

“Hutchins,” I finished for him without missing a beat. “What do you say, gentlemen? Let’s put in that interest and get a showing booked.”

Drake still looked angry, and the muscles in his jaw flexed. It still looked like he was biting back a bit of a smile, though, or a smartass remark I was glad he didn’t share. He watched me carefully while I pulled the paperwork from a folder, clapping it against the table to straighten the edges.
