“It’s a wonder, with your extensive experience.”

Murder is written on her face. Maybe I’m curious by nature or just like pushing her buttons. The thought of her sexually has me clearing my throat.

“So—”

She stabs a gloved finger in the air at me, eyes squinting. “Do not finish that sentence.”

“Do you masturbate? Do you use your hand or something else?”

I swirl the spoon in the tea to melt the brown sugar and sip from it while she shakes her head at me.

“I really enjoyed my tea.” She gulps it down and carries the cup to the sink. I was so fixated on her face, that button nose and pouty lips twisting, desperate to see that fire flickering in her eyes. I almost didn’t notice that her body is completely wrapped in black.

“Are you cold?”

“No, why?”

I point at her socks and the pajamas covering every inch of her body. If it weren’t for the wig, she would be a painting of black and white. I am sure she would look amazing in color, vibrant like her personality.

“Why black?”

She shudders. So, it’s personal. Maybe she won’t tell me right now, but she will.

“The clock is ticking,” I warn.

“Ugh,” she grumbles and leaves me alone with my thoughts.

After I finish my tea, I climb the stairs again. The same light seeps from under her door. I march into her game room, and she twirls in her chair to look at me.

“Go to bed,” I tell her.

“You’re crossing a line. You’re not my father, Cameron. I am a fucking adult.”

“I’m not in the mood.”

“Good, because I’m not either.”

I inhale, hoping for patience. This maddening woman.

“I’m going to start counting.”

“If you think you can condition me—”

“Time’s up.”

I go downstairs, feet thumping, and throw the fuses to shut the power off to her rooms. Violet screams my name, likely waking up the entire house. I plaster a smirk on my face as I reach my room, ready to climb back into bed.

My little freak rushes through my door, rage flaring in her eyes. “Cameron. I was mid-game. Do you have any idea what you did?”

“I love my name falling from your lips. I wonder—”

Anger pulls her soft features tight. “Is sex all you can think about? Turn the power back on.”

“Or what?”

Her chest heaves with a deep exhale. “I will spend an hour outside every day.”

“That was part of the rules.”
