I needed to find Henley.

“Who is she?” Bailey shouted angrily.

“What?”

“The woman you’ve been sneaking off to meet?”

Groaning, I rolled my eyes. “There is no woman, Bails.”

“Bullshit,” Freyja cursed. “Lucille told me you met her and claimed her.”

God, not this shit again.

“I didn’t claim shit, and you need to tell Lucille to stay the hell out of my business!”

“Ah ha!” Bailey grinned, pointing her little finger at me. “So, you have met someone!”

“Lucille is never wrong.” Freyja smiled happily as Phoebe and Athena chuckled.

Fucking instigators.

However, when Phoebe winked, I stiffened.

I didn’t like that look.

Not one bit.

She was up to something.

“You know, I say we get out the spirit board and just ask them ourselves.”

My eyes widened.

Freyja grinned wickedly. “That’s a marvelous idea, Phoebe.”

“Dimeter,” Athena spoke softly. “The universe is shouting loudly. We know you’ve met her. We want to help. Just tell us who she is so we can.”

Groaning, I wanted to find the nearest rock and hide under it.

“Lucille is never wrong,” Freyja said before adding. “Face it, Dimeter, you’ve met your lady love and now we all want to meet her.”

Before I could reply, all four women headed back towards the clubhouse jabbering like a bunch of clucking hens.

Quietly cursing them to hell, I followed, when Bailey said, “You heard your sisters, Scribe. The universe has spoken!”

Storming after her, I shouted, “Woman, if you don’t stop saying that shit and putting it out in the universe, I’m gonna make your life hell.”

“You better face facts, Scribe. You are running out of time.”

“Am not!”

“Whatever.” She sighed, plopping herself down next to Skylar on the sofa. “You were the last one to dance with me. You’re just scared.”

“I’m not scared of shit!”

“What’s going on?” Pyro asked, walking over with King, who was looking at his phone.

“Pussylips is fucking girding his loins in fear. He was the last one to dance with me at the wedding.”
