He lays one on Luna.

Who does not seem to mind at all.

Well, that’s just fucking great.

I finally tap him on the shoulder. Which everyone thinks is hilarious and which I play along with as Sammy the mascot, when Wade the person, really wants to punch the guy in the face.

When he lifts his head after what feels like an hour, I hear him say, "I’ve missed this."

Whatever the fuck that means. Wait. He’s kissed her before?

I reach out and grasp Luna’s hand, finally helping her upright.

Not that she even spares me a glance. She’s still staring at Cameron like they’re in a romantic movie. Cue the swelling music.

Damn. My shot is too late. That’s pretty fucking obvious.

I risk a glance at the bench.

Crew is still sitting, but he’s frowning up at us. Okay, at Cameron and Luna.

Looks like I’m not the only one who doesn’t like the two of them making out on the KissCam.

I don’t see Doc Hughes anywhere though.

Luna didn’t actually fall or hit her head, thanks to Cameron, I guess, so she probably doesn’t need medical attention. That will spare me getting yelled at by Hughes.

But there's no way in hell I'm looking up at the owner's box.

I shudder to think what the Bossman might have to say to me right now.

Not that it was really my fault. I didn’t mean to knock her over. And I could make a case for howgladhe should be that I knocked Dani over that first time…

Just to be safe, I take my earpiece out.

CHAPTER 28

Dani

God,I miss my guys so much.

I have tears in my eyes as I'm reading back over my story for Habanero.

It’s about them.

Sure, I’ve changed all the names and details about them and none of the things I wrote actually happened, but I was able to write this fun, sexy, romantic love story from my heart because of them.

And it makes me ache, feeling every minute of the forty-eight hours we’ve been apart.

I came straight home after the hockey game. I definitely wanted to show up for Crew. It was his first game back and the one they needed to win to clinch the playoffs. He did an amazing job, played so damned hard, even though I could tell he did have a little pain. But he stayed out there, fought hard, and they pulled out the win. I’m so proud of him.

But I wasn't quite ready to go back to waiting in the back hallway.

Luna was headed back there, and she was very coy about whether she was going back to congratulate her brother, Alexsei, or because Cameron was going to be back there.

That kiss Cameron laid on her was something. As someone who is somewhat of an expert in how KissCam kisses can turn into so much more, I cannot wait to talk to my bestie.

But I needed to get out of there.
