But none of the others replied.

Tony didn’t see Angie or Janine right away, not until Andy ran to him.

“Bro, our sister and Janine just joined the game.”

“Get the hell outta here.”

“Look! They must have come to the front door because they walked out of the house.”

Tony stopped to watch just as Ryan threw the ball to Dan, and Angie jumped in front of him to grab it and run with it.

“Oh, Jesus Christ, I’m going to fucking kill her.” Tony shouted, lunging for Angie as she ran past him.

“Tony! Stop it,” Andy cried, grabbing Tony’s arm. He had to throw his entire weight on his brother to stop him.

The children’s screams alerted their mothers inside, and soon the terrace was overflowing with dinner guests.

“Oh, my God! Andy just jumped on Tony!” Pam shouted. She had been pulling on her jacket to join the game but grabbed her phone to record the event instead.

The ruckus grew worse as Max and Dan tried to pull Andy off Tony and the older children scrambled around to help. Theracket got the attention of Kassandra’s neighbors, who soon left their Thanksgiving dinner to see what all the noise was about.

“Oh my God, is that Tony Roman and Janine Scarpuchi?” a neighbor cried out.

With Max’s help, Dan lifted Andy off his brother.

With Andy secured in the background, Max went to Tony’s aid and helped him off the ground.

“Dude, are you okay?”

“I’m going to kill that bitch,” he cried, tears streaming down his face. “I was making headway, I tell you, and then she had to come and mess everything up.”

“What did you hope to accomplish by coming here?” Pam asked Janine. “It’s hard to let a man go, but it’s not worth your self-respect to try to purposely break up his home.”

Andy limped over to Janine and Angie, a paper towel pressed against his nostril to slow the tide of blood. “Why on earth would you encourage this, Angie?”

“I wanted to see for myself if Dad really sold the house,” she answered.

“Go talk to Dan,” Andy snapped. “He’s the one who wrote up the new will. You’ll get your share of the estate when Dad dies.”

“That’s not fair, though, if Tony gets the house and a quarter of the sale price!” Angie cried.

“You’ve lost your mind, Angie. Dad could outlive all of us. Go find a wealthy partner like Tony did.”

Andy and Angie turned to Janine.

“What? I have my own money.”

“What was the point of you coming here?” Andy asked.

“I want Tony and Kassandra to suffer.”

“Well, I think you succeeded.”

Zach suddenly appeared out of nowhere, dragging Tony along. “Shit, the police are here. You’d better duck out. You can hide at the side of the house.”

“There’s a pumphouse for pool equipment,” Angie said.
