I give her a look. “Really?”

“Of course we are,” Elle chimes in. “Like Wren said, you never go anywhere or do anything. Now here you are sexting over FaceTime with Ashton freaking Rivers!”

“Shhhh.” I grab her arm and look around. Despite the crowd, the loud chatter from other tables drowns out any possibility of someone hearing.

“What? No one can hear… tell us more,” Wren encourages.

“Yeah, I mean… how was his…” Elle makes a face.

“You wanna know if he’s packing?” I sigh.

Wren presses her hands together, resting her elbows on the table. “An excellent question.”

“Well, he is, from what I saw.”

“God, is it a monster?” Elle swoons.

I have no words to describe Ashton jerking himself off in front of me. But the thing looked big. A little intimidatingly big, I might add.

“It looked… like a monster.” I nod, biting my lip.

We all break out into fits of giggles. I know my friends are just happy to see me giving attention to something else outside of work, and it’s nice being able to vent to them. Of course, Emmerson knows we’re getting close. I haven’t exactly confessed to her yet, either, how close we’ve been getting.

“This is awesome.” Wren claps her hands giddily like it’s the best news she’s heard since sliced bread. “And you say he’s a nice guy, even better! A nice guy with a huge cock! This is getting better by the second.”

I laugh over my wine. “Well, it’s notthemost important thing. It’s what you do with it, right?”

“So true,” Elle agrees.

Wren just splutters while taking a sip of her wine.

Elle has been on the dating scene but hasn't found a boyfriend. “He doesn’t have any single teammates, does he?”

I think back to meeting Tyler Peterson, the other star defenseman and captain of the team, and Jay Jefferson, the center and the cheeky, charming one of the bunch.

He tried to charm me after the game we went to when I was wearing Ashton’s jersey. I didn't meet Ash that night as he had to leave after the game. Taylor said he had to meet up with his father about something. Then Jay made a comment that I should be wearinghisjersey instead.

“Maybe,” I laugh.

Her eyes round.

“Well. I met a couple of his teammates.” I shrug.

“Who?”

“Ty Peterson, though he has a girlfriend already.” I don’t want to break Cindy’s confidence when it’s still hush-hush, so I don’t tell them it’s her. “And Jay Jefferson.”

“He’s the cute blonde,” Wren confirms happily. “Noah will be beside himself with this. He loves sports. How about we all double date if things go well with Ashton?”

I laugh and shake my head. “Maybe.”

Elle quickly pulls out her cell and googles Jay Jefferson. “Now that I think about it, I have seen him on TV!” She giggles.

“Wait, slow down… Jay Jefferson is a known ladies’ man. I don't know anything about the game or the players, but I do know that much. I don’t think he has a girlfriend.”

“Elle could tame the wild beast.” Wren chortles. “Wouldn’t that be a sight!”

“It would be challenging in another state,” I add.
