"Paul, what are you . . ." Joshua began but was quickly slapped across the face by his father, who looked about ready to kill the younger Mitchell.

"It's wise to know the connections of a person you plan to screw over before you screw them over. Every good businessperson knows that rule." Sloan stated. "I find your actions and your attempts at rectifying your actions to be decidedly distasteful."

"We weren't aware that Mr. Masters was important to you; otherwise, we would never have agreed to Mr. Mitchell's insistence that he be fired." Pierson tried, but his words were empty. Sloan cared nothing for what he had to say.

“Your actions today will cause severe damage to the Austen Fields Company. Agincourt holds the majority of our loans.” Pierson pressed.

"No, it will cause severe damage to you, Mr. Rye, and Mr. Mitchell. Parts of Austen Fields will survive the takeover, but none of you will." Sloan was clear, and the panic that filled their eyes was delicious.

"What can we do or say to change your mind?" Pierson was still trying, but Mitchell seemed to realize there was no saving this blunder.

"Nothing, but I will say this: if any of you attempt to harm my fiancé in any way, even simply by throwing him a dirty look, I will finish you. You will be pariahs in the business world, and I will make sure you never work again . . . anywhere. Do I make myself clear?" Sloan looked specifically at Joshua. They all acquiesced and proceeded to apologize, knowing that they were finished as far as Austen Fields and the Agincourt Bank were concerned.

"Show them out," Sloan spoke to Micheal, who immediately began moving them toward the door. Joshua tried to catch Paul's attention, but Paul would not look at him or acknowledge him, which was appropriate in Sloan's estimation. That relationship was finally dead, and just to make sure, he made one more request of Michael. “Make sure they forget . . . everything.”

Once they were well and gone, Sloan took Paul into his arms and just held him. He could feel the stress of the day weighing heavy upon him and just wanted to ease his mind and his emotions.

"I'm going to make sure Michael takes care of the guests, and I think Mr. Rye needs a visit as well," Rian said as he walked toward the door.

“Thanks, Rian.”

"No problem, now take care of your sweet little lover and cross your fingers that I am next to meet my adored. I want to be as happy as you, brother." Rian held hope in his eyes.

"Your time is coming, I have no doubt," Sloan answered and waved his brother off. The door closed, and they were alone, just as Sloan desired.

“What did you do to upset them.” Paul was referring to their previous guests.

"I am COO of Agincourt Bank, which held many Austen Fields loans. I decided it was time to call them in, which resulted in Agincourt taking over Austen Fields Company. Mitchell lost his substantial investment, and Pierson was terminated along with Rye and the rest of the board. Agincourt will install a new board of directors." Sloan held his adored and smoothed the gorgeous red curls back from his face.

“You did all that for me?” He asked.

"I love you, Paul, and I will not stand by and let anyone disrespect you. You are my adored, my love, and my life." He kissed him gently and slowly, tasting and enjoying the moment.

“You took over an entire company.”

"I'd conquer the world for you. That is how important you are in my life."

"I will love you for the rest of my life. I'm not much good in a fight, but I promise to stand by you forever." Paul continued to hold him and laid his cheek against Sloan's chest.

“I can’t ask for more than that.” Sloan threaded his fingers through Paul’s hair and tilted his head back to take his lips in another all-consuming embrace. Paul’s devotion and declaration touched his heart and warmed every part of him.

"We have a lifetime to learn and explore one another, a lifetime to live and love. I promise to honor you to my last breath and always put you first. The life of a vampire is made perfect and complete with the presence of their adored. You make my life perfect and complete." Sloan turned Paul in his arms and started walking him through the living room to the back hall and toward their bedroom. He needed his adored in his bed and in his arms. He needed to claim him once again, sealing their bond and reinforcing their deepest connection.

"I'm not completely sure what the future holds, but as long as I have you, I know it will be perfect and complete." Paul echoed his sentiments.

"I need you, baby," Sloan said, and he took him into the bedroom and closed the door.

"I need you too." Paul began pulling at Sloan's sweater, and Sloan helped him by pulling it off and tossing it aside. Between frantic and heated touching and kissing, they were soon both naked. Sloan had a renewed appreciation for the handsomeness that was his sweet little love.

"I love your body, Paul. It is so beautiful, soft, and firm in all the right places. You set me on fire every time I look at you." He picked Paul up in his arms and carried him over to the large bed. "This is your home now, Paul, here with me." He laid him on the bed, put the pillow under his head, and seductively ran his fingertips down the length of his torso. Paul squirmed and moaned in a way that made everything exciting.

"I don't have a job. I won't be able to help with bills until I find another job." Paul told him between breathless pants.

"You don't need to help with bills. The Coven takes care of its own. If you want to work, you can work for Agincourt. We are always in the market for a good and honest CPA." Sloan chuckled and started raining kisses across Paul's shoulders and chest.

"Let's continue this discussion later when you're not kissing me wildly and stroking my throbbing cock." Paul says and then finishes with a salacious moan. Sloan upped his wild kisses, stirring Paul into a frenzy of pants and moans.

"You drive me crazy, my love." He slid on top of Paul, pushing his legs apart with his knees and settling upon that glorious body. Sloan prepped him and pushed him to his limit without taking him over the edge. He kept Paul on that edge waiting, trembling and clearly loving every minute of it.
