“I didn’t know you were writing a cookbook,” I admitted, recalling what little I knew about Bailey. I know her heart is broken from her sister's death, and she’s honest, sweet, and loyal to her friends. She was perfect.

We haven’t had a lot of conversations,” she giggled, “But you make me feel like I want to stay in bed with you all day; let you do whatever you want to my body to make me experience multiple orgasms. Just thinking about it gets me wet. I know you’re a Marine, and I feel safe when I’m with you.”

“If you keep talking like that, we’ll skip the food and head straight to bed,” I teased, kissing her before stepping away. If it were someone else, I wouldn’t have left bed this morning without making love to her repeatedly. Bailey had completely blown my mind. I had never felt this way before. I didn’t want her to fall in love with me because I couldn’t give her the love she deserved.

What have you been doing outside?” Bailey asked as we sat at the table eating.

“I’ve been checking the property to ensure we can spot anyone approaching the cabin. I don’t remember all these windows being here.”

“I installed the windows to see if someone walked onto the property. I still have a blind spot in the bedroom, but I didn’t want windows all around the bedroom.”

“Smart move. I wouldn’t have added any more windows in the bedroom either. Would you like to go swimming after we do the dishes?”

“Yes, I would love to go swimming, it’s so hot outside. Why don’t we pack a picnic lunch and spend the day there? There is so much land to explore in that area. I have always loved hiking in the woods. I’ve run all over but haven’t been any higher than the pool of water.”

“That sounds fun. It’s been a while since I’ve been hiking up there. We can go to the top and see the waterfall. We’ll jump in the water hole and swim for an hour when we finish hiking.”

We had almost reached the top where the waterfall flowed down into the swimming hole when I heard a noise that brought back memories from when I was fifteen, and the wild buck that charged me.

I took Bailey’s hand, “I’ll lift you in the tree. Grab that branch and pull yourself up.” Once she was secure, we watched two bucks fighting. “We’ll have to stay here until they leave. Those guys are mean; they’d tear you to shreds.”

“I’m glad I’m not here alone. I might have tried to stop them from fighting,” Bailey said seriously. “I don’t want to watch them fight. Look how hard they’re hitting each other.” My heart raced, as if recognizing something that belonged to me, as I looked at Bailey.

I could tell Bailey was getting upset as the bucks continued to fight trying to kill each other now drawing blood. “Bailey, I’m coming over there to you. Stay still,” I said, making myself comfortable between two sturdy branches, before lifting her onto my lap.

“Is this safe?” Bailey asked, laying her head on my shoulder and wrapping her arms around me.

“Yes, it’s safe,” the deer fighting grew louder, so I tilted Bailey’s head and kissed her, trying to get her mind off the fighting bucks. “Hey, Babe, I’m going to help you forget about those fighting bucks.”

Bailey whispered, “Yes, I like this way of forgetting.”

“Oh, sweetheart, I’ve barely begun to take your mind off those bucks. My hand caressed her legs through the short shorts she was wearing. As her hand moved down and down, and found my hardening erection, my finger slid inside her shorts, and gently slipped inside her.

She gasped as I started to move. “Babe,” I said, “I need to adjust myself. It's so hard, it needs some relief.” Bailey unzipped my pants and released my erection. She then slipped out of her shorts and straddled me, easing herself onto my throbbing length. A cry escaped my lips as she started to move, taking control of the rhythm. I sensed she was on the brink of ecstasy, so I reached down and started to stimulate her clit until she cried out in pleasure. Her lips found my neck, and she gently bit down as I climaxed deep inside her. My fingers slipped out, as my forehead rested against hers.

Neither of us moved until we heard the bucks running away. I wondered what startled them. “Shhh,” I put my finger to my lips as I tucked myself back in my pants and zipped up. I helped Bailey put her shorts back on. That’s when we spotted a large dog running through the woods.

‘Fuck, Steel is back,’ I muttered to myself. He never went anywhere without his dog. I expected to see him come into view anytime now. Since Spike stood at the bottom of the tree, staring up at us. I hopped down and then helped Bailey down.

“Whose dog is this?” She asked, petting Spike, who surprised me by wagging his tail while Bailey petted him.

“That would be my dog, Steel said, approaching us, he looked like he wanted to kill someone, and I knew it was me. Steel knew somehow that we had just made love. His steel gray eyes shifted to Bailey, and they softened.

“I’m Levi Peterson. You must be my cousin Bailey. I’ve heard some troubling things about what’s happening with you.”

“Bailey raised her head. She must think that Levi meant something else. “Steel is talking about Donnie Turner.”

“Of course, I’m talking about that bastard. What else would we be discussing?”

“Bailey believes all of her relatives want nothing to do with her. She said the California ones told her because her father left his family to marry her mother, they disowned him, so that meant they disowned her too.”

“I don’t feel that way at all, and neither will anyone else, you met the ones from North Carolina. We don’t get along with them either,” he said, looking at me. “Now that I’m here, I’ll protect Bailey. She can stay at my place.”

“I’m pleased to meet you, Levi, but I’m staying at my cabin. I bought it, and I have the deed. I have to stay there to lure the monster out. I’m going to kill him when he shows up. Do you have parents?”

Steel and I blinked at the conversation change before Steel answered. “Yes, but they moved to Miami when they retired. What about your parents? Where are they?”

“I don’t know. My father left when Jackie and I were babies, and my mother ran off with her drug-addicted boyfriend when I was sixteen. Our mother was also addicted to drugs. So it was a relief when she left, because she changed so much. We lived in a small trailer park, so Jackie and I stayed there. Our parents didn’t love us enough to stay with us.”
