I mean, I'm not going to dig ditches every day because that sounds fucking exhausting. But so long as I have her and our kids to come home to at the end of the day, I'm happy.

"Be gentle with him," she says. "He's still just a kid."

"That doesn't excuse him, Camila."

"I know," she says, "but you were his age once too. How many times did you do something stupid?"

"A lot. I was an idiot before I met you."

"Not to be the bearer of bad news, but you're still an idiot, meu amor," she says, patting me on the shoulder. "But I love you anyway."

"You little minx," I growl, flipping her over onto her back.

She laughs quietly, her sepia eyes full of humor. "Are you saying I'm wrong?"

"Fuck no," I say, making her laugh harder. "Are you kidding me? I'm lost without you, querida. This is why I'm so protective of you. I know what life is like without you. Cold and lonely and miserable and full of bad decisions. So I may still be an idiot, but I'myouridiot."

"Yeah, you are," she says, her expression soft as she stares up at me. "And I'm never ever letting you go."

"Never ever, huh?" I ask, grinning. "That's an awful long time, Camila Larsen."

"Gray?"

"Yeah, angel?"

"Shut up and kiss me."

"Yes, ma'am," I whisper, leaning down to claim her lips in a deep kiss.

Bonus Epilogue

Camila

Ten Years Later

"I'm dying."

"Gray," I say, fighting a smile. "You aren't dying. You're camping."

"I'm in the goddamn woods again, Camila. Same damn difference," he growls, prowling across the campsite toward me. "There are bears and bugs, and I swear to God, a branch tried to do butt stuff to me when I was setting up the tent."

I lose the battle and laugh loudly.

He narrows his eyes on me, all disgruntled and hot. I swear, the man gets more beautiful every year. Unfortunately for him, I've had ten years to learn how to withstand the power of that face and that ridiculously perfect body. If he didn't want to gocamping, he shouldn't have offered a pregnant woman s'mores. Or mentioned camping to our son.

He's his own worst enemy, honestly.

As soon as he said the C-word, Nicolas was upstairs, screaming the news to his big sisters. They were fully on board. By the time Gray thought through his plan, his fate was sealed. We were already on the way. He can't so no to our babies. He's been grumpy ever since. It won't last, though. He may hate nature, but he loves us more.

There's nothing he wouldn't do for us.

"Come help me finish this tent," I say, holding out my hand to him.

He grumbles and then crouches beside me to look at the directions. "There are no words."

"That's what I said!" I cry, annoyed. The whole thing is just pictures, as if that helps any at all when all the poles look the same to me.

"Here." Gray lifts me to my feet. "You go find out what the kids are doing. I'll figure out this bullshit. You shouldn't be sitting on the ground anyway."
