I eye her pinky and then reluctantly hook my pinky through it.
"I accidentally ran a red-light and got a stupid speeding ticket from one of those new red-light camera things," she hurries to say. "I wanted to know if I had to pay it or if I could just pretend it never happened."
"Jesus Christ," I mutter. "You have to pay it, Devin."
"But it was an accident."
"How did you accidentally speed through a red-light?"
"I had to pee," she whispers.
"How fast were you going?"
"Ireallyhad to pee?" she says hopefully.
I glare at her.
She gulps loudly. "I made sure no one else was coming first, daddy," she says. "And I didn't know it had a stupid camera."
"I certainly hope not," I mutter, shaking my head. Dillon has had the damn things installed all over downtown. They're a pain in the ass. "I'll call Dillon. He owes me anyway."
"Really?" Her eyes widen.
"Yeah, princess."
She squeaks and throws her arms around me. "You're the best daddy," she says, kissing all over my face. "I love you!"
"Good," I murmur, wrapping my hands around her waist. "I'm glad you feel that way because you'll be paying for this on your back, little girl."
"Daddy," she moans.
"And we'll discuss your punishment tonight when the kids are in bed." I nip her throat. "You don't put what belongs to daddy in danger, Devin. It's against the rules."
"Yes, daddy," she whispers.
I tip her face down to mine, claiming her mouth in a deep kiss. "I need you safe, princess. You're the reason I breathe."
"Jude."
"I mean it," I murmur against her lips. "You and our kids are the reason my heart beats. Without you, I have nothing."
"I feel the same way about you," she cries, pushing her curvy body closer to mine. "I love you so much."
"I know, baby doll. I know." I press a soft kiss to her lips and then scoop her up. "Let's go home. I'm ready to get started on your punishment."
"Yay," she whispers, stealing another piece of my heart.
