"Cormac."

"Yeah, just like that," he growls.

I don't know what possesses me to do it, but I say it again. "Cormac."

"You're going to get yourself in trouble, little girl."

"I told you already, my name is Bella,Tiny."

"You just can't help yourself, can you, Mischief?"

"No." I meet his gaze, challenging and bold, as defiant as ever. "I told you I don't follow orders. I'm not obedient. I've never been a good girl, Cormac."

He slips his hand around to the back of my head, spearing his fingers through my hair. I groan as he grips the strands tightly, craning my head back until I'm practically prostrate on the island beneath him, those gray eyes locked on mine.

"Defy me," he growls. "Fight me. Torture me, Mischief. Make me work like a fucking dog to please you. But don'teverthink you aren't perfect exactly the way you are. I'm not interested in obedience. I'm interested inyou. And you've had my heart beating out of my damn chest since I set eyes on you."

I stare up at him, my heart pounding so loud I'm sure he can hear it. I certainly can. It thumps against my ribcage in rattling strikes, shaking me to my core. He'sshaking me to my core. And I don't even know where to begin processing that.

I need my sister. She always knows what to do. But she isn't here now, is she? Isla can't help me solve this giant problem. This time, it's up to me to figure it out on my own.

Cormac leans down, brushing his lips against mine in a soft pass.

Before I can even react, he peels himself off me and steps back.

"Get ready to go, Mischief. We're leaving in twenty."

I drag myself upright to see him striding from the kitchen, the muscles in his back flexing. "Where are we going?" I shout after him.

"To see my brothers!" he shouts back.

Twenty-five minutes later, we pull up outside of a ranch. At least, it looks like a ranch. The row of motorcycles pulled up out front leads me to believe it's not your typical ranch. So does the Silver Spoon MC logo emblazoned across the entrance to the property.

"You're in an MC," I say once Cormac helps me off his bike, not sure how I forgot that tidbit. My dad mentioned it. Cormac did too when he was telling me about the property yesterday.

"I am," he rumbles, removing my helmet. His gray eyes meet mine, probing and curious. "Does that bother you, baby?"

I eye him levelly. "You live in a fortress in the woods," I say. "You own a multi-million dollar company that does security for rockstars and foreign dignitaries. My dad trusts you with me, and he doesn't trust anyone with me and my sisters. No, it doesn't bother me."

He rewards me with those dimples and another pirate smile, making my knees weak. My pulse races, electricity crackling in the air between us as if it's alive.

He leans in, his gaze dropping to my lips.

He's going to kiss me again.

My stomach bottoms out. I sway toward him, eager to feel his lips on mine again. To feel his heat engulfing me again. I ache for it.

God help me; every part of me aches to feel this man all over me.

"Get your big ass in here, Giant!" a deep voice booms from the front porch of the ranch, amusement lacing his tone.

"Tick tock, motherfucker," someone else shouts.

"I hate every single one of you motherfuckers," Cormac says conversationally, lifting his middle finger into the air.

Loud laughter spills across the yard to us.

"I think your brothers know we're here," I whisper, feeling the burn in my cheeks. They almost caught us kissing. God only know what they think. Oddly…I don't care. Let them think it.
