"Yeah, thanks." Though where he intends to fit it, I don't know. Between my mom and sister, Troian, Gloria, Jules, and the nurses here, the cargo hold of my SUV overflows with everything Scout amassed during her stay here. And that's after we donated everything we couldn't use.

I'm pretty sure my brothers are responsible for their fair share of the stuff we're taking home with us...like the baby sized cut and pint-sized helmet. I'm not even sure where they found one small enough to fit Scout's tiny head. They'll never admit it, but I think they're all wrapped around Scout's fingers. They're warriors at their core. Nothing riles their protective instincts more than an injured woman or child.

God knows, Scout and Samara riled mine. Falling for them was inevitable. Now, I get to spend the rest of my life loving them.

"I'm going to get my girls," I tell Cash.

"We'll be ready, brother," he promises before sticking two fingers in his mouth and blasting a sharp whistle across the parking lot. "Giant, get that shit loaded. Everyone else, get ready to roll out!"

I leave them scrambling and jog back inside to get Scout and Samara. It takes five minutes to get back to Scout's room.

I find Samara standing at the window, staring out at the city. Scout's asleep in her carseat, a blanket tucked around her.

"Are you ready to go, baby?"

Samara turns to face me, a sweet smile lighting her up. "So ready," she whispers.

I hook my arm under Scout's seat, lifting it gently from the floor, and hold my other hand out to Samara. "Then let's get out of here."

She crosses the room to me, her wide hips swaying. Instead of taking my hand, she rises up to her tiptoes, placing her lips against my jaw. "Thank you," she whispers sweetly.

"For what?"

"For being the best thing that ever happened to me," she says. "For being permanent." She tips her head down toward Scout, tears shimmering in her lashes. "For keeping your promise."

"Fuck," I breathe, my chest pulsing with emotion. "I love you, angel."

She smiles at me again, bright enough to rival the sun. "I know."

"Tate," Samara gasps ten minutes later, stopping in shock when she sees my brothers lined up in front of and behind my SUV on their bikes. "What is this?"

"This is Scout's escort home," I say, smiling. "When wounded warriors return home, MCs escort them whenever possible. Our girl may not have fought for our country, but she fought her own battle, regardless. My brothers are giving her the honor she earned."

"Tate." Tears well in her eyes. "That's so sweet."

"She earned it, baby. You both did." I slide my arm around her waist, pulling her up against me. "You did good, angel. Siobhan can rest easy now."

"Don't you dare make me cry today, Tate Grimes," she whispers, tears already slipping down her cheeks.

"Never," I say, pressing my lips to her temple. "My job is to only ever make you happy."

"I love you so damn much."

"Yeah?" I grin at her. "Then let's go home. I'm ready to show you my banana now."

"Tate!" she cries, burying her face in my shoulder.

"I'm kidding. Mostly kidding," I amend when my dick twitches in protest. "I'm ready to get you home so I can get you naked and convince you to marry me, Samara."

She gasps, her head flying back. Her wide golden eyes meet mine.

"You owe me forever. I intend to collect."

"Oh, I do, huh?"

"Mmhmm," I hum. "Isn't that how the fairytale always ends for Sleeping Beauty?"

"Depends," she whispers. "Is there an apple in this one?"
