Six months later …

Dog’s cock swelled as Charley slid her wet pussy down it, the pleasure more intense now that they were doing it raw. Commitment felt awfully good right about now.

Hell, who was he kiddin’? Commitment with Charley felt good all the time. Her smile. Her laughter. Her never-ending support of his choices. Her acceptance of his brothers and theirs of her. Just knowing she was waiting for him at the end of the day, or in the morning like now, was the best feeling ever. Though the way her internal muscles clenched his cock as she lifted up was a real close second.

Dog sat on the couch in her new office in downtown Edwards, his pants below his knees. Charley straddled him, hands behind her on his thighs, so she could hit the spot inside that made her whimper. God, he loved that sound. He couldn’t believe he’d lived without it all those years before she’d stumbled into his life.

He didn’t know where most of her clothes had wound up, but her blouse hung open, baring her luscious tits to his hands. He rolled a nipple between his thumb and forefinger.

“Dog.” Charley’s head dropped back, and she made a sound that let him know she was close.

“Tell me what you need, baby.”

“Just more. Harder.”

He grabbed her hips to hold her steady and slammed his hips upward again and again.

Her nails dug into his thighs, and her mouth dropped open. “Yes. God, yes. Don’t stop.”

Not a chance in hell. Not for the rest of his life.

Her body tensed, and then she shuddered, her tight contractions around his cock taking him with her into climax. So good, and so very right.

Breathing ragged, she slumped against his Henley and leather cut and giggled. “Guess we got into that rather quickly. You’re still mostly dressed.”

Dog smoothed back the hair that stuck to her sweaty face. “Sometimes I just gotta have you. You complainin’?”

“Not about the sex.” She leaned back and stroked his clean-shaven face. “I miss the goatee, though.”

He grinned. “I’ve heard that once or twice.”

“I didn’t know how much I liked it till it was gone.”

“Judge cleaned me up best he could. Didn’t want me scarin’ people. It sucked wearing long sleeves during August and September to cover the grim reaper. But since I’m done now, I could grow it back, or….”

Charley raised an eyebrow. “Or?”

Dog couldn’t believe he’d been thinking this, much less saying it out loud. “I know the judge thought it was a good joke to make me work at The Obedience Club. Or, hell, maybe he thought I’d learn some obedience. I think it might have worked. I loved training the dogs for ordinary people, but the offshoot of training service dogs for people like Jessie? That was the fucking best.”

She ran her fingers through his short-cropped hair. “You are always happy when you come home from doing that.”

He nodded. “And I’ve been doin’ research online, or rather Luke’s been doin’ it for me. Anyway, pit bulls make great therapy dogs. If I could train them, think how many I could save from the shelters.”

“Get them out of the pound and into the parlor.”

Those words set his mind to working. “I like that. Maybe I’ll use it somehow in advertising. ‘Out of the pound and into the parlor.’ Sounds really good and is exactly what I want to do.”

She pressed her forehead against his. “For Ellie May.”

His sweet pup had passed away two months ago. He missed her every day, but she wouldn’t be the last one he saved.

“For Ellie May, Lizzie, and all the other dogs that can be rehabilitated.”

“That sounds beautiful. I’ll help in any way I can.”

“I know that, sweetheart. It’s one of the things I love most about you. Although what we just did is right up there too.”

She swatted his shoulder as she sat back. “What am I going to do with you? You’re insatiable.”
