His eyebrows raise. “You think I’m lying, baby? I’ll find the volume right now.” He moves to start to look through and I grab his hands. “No, don’t! I don’t want to read anything about myself,” I say.

He nods. “Yeah, I get that. It only gets worse with the reporters at the Olympics.”

I want to ask him more about his time there, but I don’t want to ruin the mood. The fact that he’s been multiple times is justanother reminder of the difference in our ages and points in our lives. It makes the fact that I’m in his bed, only wearing his shirt, feels surreal.

“What’s going on?” He interrupts my thoughts.

“Nothing, just thinking.”

Chapter Twenty

Sage

Fallon rolls the remainder of his sandwich in the paper it was previously wrapped in and moves over me to set it on the nightstand. He grabs my food, doing the same with it before laying next to me, tugging me down to rest on his chest.

I snuggle into his side, the heat of his body and his scent comforting me. His hand rubs down my back.

“I can take you home,” he says.

Sitting up, I look down at him. “You want me to leave?”

“No, Sage. I want you in my bed, but something is bothering you. I can see it in your face.” His green eyes glow with tenderness and my heart skips a beat.

“Oh,” I say, my shoulders slumping. “I guess I just realized how different our lives are. It made me feel… nervous. I don’t know.”

“Nervous about what?”

I shrug. “Us. Wherever this is going.”

He sits up slightly, leaning against the headboard and rests on his arm behind his head. His lips curl and his hand drifts to my bare leg, caressing the soft skin on the inside of my thigh.

“I tried to stay away from you, but I don’t think I can.”

Warmth spreads through me at his confession. Shivers run down my spine and harden my nipples because it feels like he’s as obsessed as I am.

“I don’t want you to,” I tell him, catching his fingers as he moves up my leg and under the shirt.

Fallon pulls at my hand to move on top of him, and I straddle his hips. “I just wish I could take you out. If our situation was different, I wouldn’t hide you from the world.”

I smile, the thought of going on a date with him causing butterflies to flutter in my stomach. “I would love that.”

“I’ll just have to control how I look at you during practice,” he says, his hoarse rumble hinting at his arousal as the bulge under me thickens.

“And games.”

He smirks. “No one can look away from you during games. Believe me.”

My cheeks flush and his thumb brushes the heated skin before he tucks a strand of my messy hair behind my ear. “I love that look.”

“What? When I’m embarrassed?”

“It’s this adorable shade of pink. It’s the same color when you’re coming on my fingers, when I know you’re thinking about something inappropriate,” he says, his darkened eyes locking with mine.

My breath catches and his hands glide up my back under the shirt, wrapping around my waist. He scoots down the bed, liftingme over his chest and I let out a squeak when my knees land on either side of his head.

“Oh my god, Fallon. What are you doing?” I try to move off, but his hands come over my thighs, pushing me onto his face.

“I want to drown in your pussy. Ride my face, baby,” he says, his tongue licking up my slit.
