Momager:Back by Christmas and you do the GQ photoshoot…without complaining.

Will:New Year’s Day, the GQ shoot with mild complaining and I’ll throw in a sit down with that production company that keeps bugging us about the making the Will Crawford lifetime movie.

Momager:Deal.

He’d smirked to himself. Not his best negotiation but he’d got what he wanted which was more time. His win and her agreement had him softening towards his mother.

Will:Thank you.

Momager:Does this mean I don’t see you for Christmas?

It was the first time she had mentioned it in years but maybe she was getting pressure from husband number four to have a family holiday.

Will:I don’t think so. There’s lots to do here if I need to be gone in two weeks.

Momager:I know you don’t believe it but I only want what’s best for you.

Will knew that she meant it, in her own way. She separated herself from him in order to drive their success but she didn’t know how to come back to him.

Will:I know, love you Mom.

Momager:Love you too xx

Then Rebelle had appeared in front of him, still wet from their shower and all delicious looking in a towel and his thoughts had scattered.

“Earth to Will!” Present Rebelle clicked her fingers in front of his face, her sassy eyebrow raised.

He shot her a lascivious smile. “Sorry, I was just thinking about my punishment yesterday.” He trailed his eyes over her body and had the satisfaction of watching her cheeks flush.

“William! Not in public,” she hissed.

“Why not?”

She looked about them, checking no one was listening. “I don’t want people to know.”

He drew back. “Ouch?”

She rolled her eyes. “I don’t want them thinking you’re helping me out with the shelter because we’re having sex.”

“You guys are having sex?” Beau boomed, coming up behind Will and clapping him on the back in greeting. Rebelle squeaked in dismay and Will laughed at her awkwardness.

“I hate to break it to you, beautiful, but he already figured it out.” Will nodded in Beau’s direction.

“A beer please, Rebelle, then I’ll keep yoursecret,” Beau winked at her and she pulled a bottle from the fridge under the bar and flicked the top off.

“Did you have something you wanted to tell me?” Will asked, taking them back to their previous conversation.

“Just be at the shelter Christmas morning,” Rebelle grumbled.

He planned on being there the night before and waking up with her. Not that he told her so, he could sense her pushing him away. He understood her reasons for doing so but it only made him want to cling on to her tighter. He winked at her and then headed off to a booth with Beau to catch up.

“I’m glad, man. I mean, I know you guys were messing around but I’m happy for you. You seem more at ease lately, barring the other night. Kinda seems like you’ve found your Taylor.” Beau beamed at him across the booth and Will choked on his expensive scotch. “Come on, don’t deny it. I’ve never seen you this gone over a woman before,” Beau added while Will composed himself.

He glanced back at Rebelle, her short dark hair gleaming in the soft lights, looking silky smooth and practically begging for him to run his hand through it. She was huddled closely with Taylor, whispering fiercely and looking cute as hell in her red turtleneck sweater and blue jeans.

He couldn’t deny it, there was something about her that was so different to other women he’d met and not just sexually. She didn’t treat him like a billionaire, hell, he knew that she would prefer it if he didn’t have money. She wasn’t impressed bywealth, status or looks. It was actions and intentions with her, that was how she measured someone.

She soothed him, didn’t have any expectations of him, didn’t care about him being a celebrity. She treated him like an equal, a partner, her counterpart. She amazed and fascinated him, and he felt just like her roses, like she was the sun and his head turned in her direction whenever she appeared.
