“What? Really?” Jared balked, looking even more uncomfortable as chaos ensued.

“I saw Orange and the captain getting it on one night under the moon…”

“I saw her coming out of his cabin!”

“She wasn’t in the brig – she was in his bed…”

“WHAT?” Calista choked out, still trying to catch her breath and still coughing up bits of scrambled eggs. Gulping down a sip of water, she listened in disbelief at the conversation flowing back and forth between everyone.

“Bo was really bad in bed – you’re lucky he didn’t pursue you,” Yellow admonished, patting Calista on theshoulder as she spit out the second sip of water only to prevent drowning right there at the table.

“Why you…” Bo snarled, looking horrified. “You said it was the best that…”

“Of course, I did,” Yellow preened. “You never tell a boy it was terrible.”

“You said I was your first.”

“You believed it.”

“I’m gonna get an STD,” Bo muttered, sinking down the wall and collapsing on a bench that lined the room – only to hear the doctor quickly take advantage of the situation.

“I may do plastic surgery, but I am a licensed physician if you want to schedule at my office,” Red began, offering Bo a business card like this was just some everyday occurrence.

“What in the world is going on here?” Shepherd exclaimed. “Do I need to pair up with someone, too – or shall I get my things?”

“That hook might mar my skin,” Green volunteered, causing everyone to look at her in shock – including Shepherd.

“I was kidding, lady! You all are cuckoo…”

“Hey - I resent that.”

“Iresemblethat…”

“We know!”

“Everyone just stop! Nobody is crazy… that I know of,” Jared amended, before quickly continuing. “This is supposed to be a fun, historically-based cruise for enjoyment. We don’t have modern accommodations or electric plugs for cell phones – but we also don’t have a poop rope!”

“Thank goodness…”

“Nor do we make you swab the deck,” Jared interjected. “Am I clear? It’s forFUN,” he stressed. “AFANTASYescape from your everyday lives that you all signed up for.”

“I didn’t,” Calista choked out. “And I’m not walking the plank.”

“Nobody is really walking the plank,” Jared said loudly, trying to take control of the conversation once more as people were asking her why she was here. “Now…”

“LISTEN UP, ‘SHEEPLE’!” Shepherd bit out loudly, causing everyone to grow silent in shock at the quiet man who was suddenly yelling once more.

“Shepherd!” Marie hissed. “You cannot call people ‘sheeple’– nobody is exactly falling in line or following others right now.”

“I’m offended,” Yellow said primly, crossing her arms.

“I am too,” Green seconded, also crossing her arms, as Marie rolled her eyes.

“Of course, you are,” Red bit out in disgust.

“I don’t see why,” Blue retorted, laughing. “Can we get to swimming now?”

“Oh my gosh, this cannot be happening,” Marie muttered, putting her head down in her hands in defeat. “Yellow and Green – Shepherd is sorry he called you ‘sheeple’.”
