“I know,” he murmured, coaxing my body closer. “I’ve got you. Let go.”

My body thrummed with pleasure as he tugged on my ponytail again as he withdrew and then slammed inside of me, driving me higher and higher until the orgasm burst through me, and the only thing that kept me upright was the hold he had on my body.

“Feels so good,” he groaned as my body spasmed around his length, and I could feel him hardening inside of me—my orgasm setting off his own. “You always feel so fucking good.”

He came on a chorus of my name, repeated over and over like he couldn’t quite believe I was real. Like he couldn’t get enough.

After we’d cleaned up, we both settled back into his bed, enjoying the moment. Being in his arms, letting him hold me—somehow, it had become my favorite place. I never wanted to leave.

And yet.

“I should go,” I whispered, curling into Charming’s chest as he wrapped his hands around my waist.

“You should stay,” he murmured back. “Sleep for a while.”

“Mmm.”

And because I couldn’t deny him—this, us—I did, falling asleep in his arms.

Pushing off my worries and fears for another day.

CHAPTER 30

Cam

Ella stood on stage, wearing a pretty blue gingham printed dress that I knew brought out her eyes. Not that I could see them right now. Even from my view in the third row, the lights made it hard to make out any specific details. Nevertheless, she was stunning.

“How’s your girl?” James asked, settling in beside me.

“She’s amazing.” She was introducing the event, the charity that her sorority supported, and it felt like every guy had given her their full attention. I scowled.

You’re going to bid on me, right?Like she had reason to worry otherwise. There was no way I’d let anyone else have a shot with her.

In her arms was the basket she’d shown me, tied with an enormous bow on the side.Mine.

Her eyes met mine, and I couldn’t stop the grin that split over my face.

She was presenting on the date that you’d win by bidding on her—but I hardly heard a word as I focused on her face, her presence calling to me like nothing ever had.

Fuck, but she was perfect. Andmine. I kept repeating theword, because it was the only thing that calmed down the possessive part of me that hated anyone else looking at her.

“For a lovely date with the Pi Rho President, Ella, the bidding will start at one hundred dollars!” came the man’s voice over the speakers. “Do I hear one hundred?”

Whispers spread through the crowd, and a hand shot up.

I glared, because itwasn’tmy hand.

“One fifty!”

“Two hundred!”

“We’ve got two hundred! Don’t forget, all proceeds are going to the Pi Rho Sigma philanthropy to support Survivors of Domestic Abuse. It’s a fantastic cause! Do I hear two fifty?”

Fuck that. I wasn’t letting anyone outbid me, and I had plenty of money—plus, it was for Ella.

“One thousand,” I shouted, and the room quieted.

James chuckled beside me as I practically stared down the rest of the room, daring them to outbid me.
