“Oh god, I’m going to come,” Tia murmurs against my lips just moments later.

It’s a whispered confession only I get to know, and it launches me into a frenzied desire.

“Say my name, Tia,” I command, rolling my hips to penetrate her deeply.

“Leo,” she moans, her head tipping back as her fingers tighten in my hair.

I grunt as my release slams through me with such powerful force it leaves me almost lightheaded. Pushing deep inside Tia, I pour my seed into her with throbbing bursts. Her pussy tightens around my hard length in response. Her walls milk me eagerly as she holds me buried in her addictive depths.

I break our kiss as my lungs begin to burn and lean my forehead against hers as we pant together, our pulsing climax in perfect sync. And Tia shudders with the final aftershock before melting into a puddle of blissful relaxation beneath me.

“Holy hell, Leo,” she breathes as I ease out of her and collapse onto the bed at her side.

“Yeah,” I agree on an exhale, trying to wrap my mind around the intensity of our connection.

I stretch my arm toward Tia, and she wordlessly accepts the offer, rolling onto her side as she snuggles closer, resting her cheek on my chest. Her hair tickles my shoulder as it brushes lightly across my skin, raising goosebumps across my flesh. And I turn my head to press a kiss on Tia’s forehead.

“What would your dream in life be?” I ask after several peaceful moments of silence. “If you could do anything, I mean.”

Leaning up on an elbow, Tia turns to face me, her dark eyes penetrating. Then, after a slight hesitation, she says almost shyly, “I want to see the world. I hardly even know the town we live in. I’ve lived such a sheltered life, but I’ve read enough books to know there’s a whole big world to explore, and I wish I were free to see it.”

A pang of guilt lances through me as I realize that, not only is this the first time I’ve asked something really personal of Tia, but I also stole her one real opportunity to have the adventure she seeks. Because I postponed our honeymoon without any intention of taking her at a future time.

Inspired to do something meaningful for her, I find fresh conviction to right that wrong. Because this is one time I actually can fix what I’ve done. “I’ll take you on the adventure of a lifetime someday,” I promise.

Capturing her chin between my finger and thumb, I sit up to seal the promise with a kiss.

TIA

“You’re getting around pretty well on those crutches,” Maria observes as we make our way slowly down the steps to the flower garden.

I laugh. “Thanks. It still feels like I’m moving at a snail’s pace, but I’ve gotten the hang of it now.”

“How much longer until you get to start walking?” Stooping to admire a collection of zinnias, she plucks one and brings it to her nose.

“Dr. Luca will be out again on Tuesday to check on my progress. But the swelling is gone, and it really feels much better. I’m just using crutches because I’m pretty sure Leo’s tasked the help with watching to ensure I use them until I’m given permission by a medical professional to stop.”

Maria nods her understanding as she lightly strokes the petals of the flower she picked, brushing them with her fingertips. “How have you been otherwise? Any issues with the bump on your head?”

“Oh, no. That was gone within a day or so of the accident.”

Maria glances left and right before dropping her voice to a whisper. “Have you… spoken with your husband more about that day? What you saw?”

I shake my head. “The one time I questioned him about it, we got into an argument. I don’t think he and I will ever see eye to eye on what he did.”

“And you haven’t gotten any more… details?”

“He’s not dumb enough to let something useful slip. And it’s not like I could get back to where it happened.” I glance around nervously, anxious that someone might be in the garden with us, making me jumpy.

Then Maria giggles, pulling my eyes back to her. “I can just imagine you hobbling around, three-legged in the woods. If anyone would try it, that would be you.”

I snort. “Now you’re starting to sound like Leo. He accused me of being stubborn the other night. Can you believe that?”

“Whaaat?” she asks with false disbelief.

“Oh, hush,” I scold, bracing on my crutch to swat her shoulder.
