“I love hearing you beg.” He moved out of her and back in, gradually increasing his tempo.

She moaned in pleasure. It felt great, but she wanted more, more of… something.

“More,” she demanded, writhing under him, pressing upward, meeting each thrust with her own.

He moved faster.

A tightly coiled pressure built inside her, just like that night when he put her to sleep by making her orgasm, but it was different. The climb up the cliff was slower, more intense. The pressure was driving her mad beneath him.

“I need… I need… I need…” she chanted.

“What do you need, baby girl?”

“I don’t know!” she screamed in frustration.

“I do.” Reaching between their bodies, he stroked her clit again.

That wasexactlywhat she needed, propelling the orgasm over the edge, providing the release that had been just beyond her grasp. Raw sensations filled her, and she could feel each and every one. Her body trembled beneath his as she rode out the orgasm gripping her body.

He mastered her body with his control as her screams filled the air. Opening her eyes, she saw him above her. He called out her name as he found his release, pumping harder and faster, spraying the inside of her walls with his hot seed.

Her heart was still slamming against the inside of her ribcage when he pulled out of her. Cradling her into his arms, he kissed her forehead.

“Did that help, Frankie?”

“God, yes,” she sighed. “I felt every inch of that.”

“Now that I got you all dirty, why don’t you go take that bath while I go downstairs and deal with finding the bastards who hurt us.”

CHAPTER 11

Frankie

Frankie hung up the towel in the kitchen and walked into the living room, plopping down on the big leather couch in front of the television. Turning it on, she flipped through the channels. Seeing absolutely nothing that caught her attention, she flipped it off, tossing the remote on the coffee table. They had been on Valhalla for a week and weren’t any closer to ending the threat against her. Shane and the guys were working on it, with Jay elbow deep in research. While the main house was beautiful, there were only so many television shows she could watch, and it was too warm to spend time in the hot tub.

There was a pool on the ranch, but Shane had given her a stupid rule that she couldn’t leave the main house without one of the men with her, but they were busy building up the ranch. Houses were going up, the arena and dog kennel were being fixed up, and everyone had projects. Shane was off helping one of the men or deep into planning the operation to find Emanuele.

Nights were better. Most nights were spent gathered around the table with all the men. Sometimes, a few others popped overas well, the laughter flowing as freely as the alcohol did. She loved hearing stories about Shane and enjoyed getting to know him. After dinner, the two of them would go for a walk or take a dip in the hot tub. There had even been a few pool trips.

Bedtime was her absolute favorite. Shane made love to her every night. He was a generous lover, always making sure she orgasmed before he did, and seemed to enjoy teaching her how to please him. She didn’t mind the learning process one bit.

He was doing a better job communicating, and she was grateful for his effort. He was still over the top and incredibly high-handed, threatening to spank her on more than one occasion. She had received a few swats here and there, but nothing too serious. She didn’t think he would dare spank her in front of his friends. Brad was one thing since, according to Mak, he was a spanker, too, but surely, these men were different. They’d probably not take too kindly to him hitting her.

When she was bored, her mind played with her, and all she could think about was her family’s last moments. She had so many questions—the ‘what if’ game, killing her inside.

She was bored, and boredom led to mental torture and overwhelming grief. She needed a distraction, a project.

She remembered Phantom talking about the flower gardens that had once been a part of the ranch. Valhalla, before he had bought it, had been a working ranch and a luxurious corporate retreat. Some things he had kept as is, some he was renovating, and some he was getting rid of altogether. The flower gardens were one of those things he hadn’t given much thought to.

Feeling the need to be closer to her nonna, she went to find Phantom and get directions to the garden.

“Does Shane know you are out here alone?” Phantom asked as she walked up to the construction site where he and several men were hard at work.

“Umm,” she bit her lip, then lied. “Of course, he does. I asked him if I could go to the flower garden. He said sure as long as I stayed there and didn’t go anywhere else.”

“That doesn’t sound like him,” Phantom said.

“He said as long as he knew where I was.” She gave him a big smile.
