“Fuck off, Shade.”

“Just so you know, Serena. You’re shit company. Remind me never to travel with you again.”

I toss the pillow at him and stretch. “What time is it?”

“Landing time.”

I stare at him in shock because it’s as if I’ve only just got into bed and he grins. “You slept for eight hours. You must have needed it.”

I shrug. “I did.”

I swing back the covers and head to the bathroom, saying over my shoulder, “You can show yourself out.”

“Is there something you want to tell me, princess?”

The tone of his voice stops me in my tracks, and I turn, noting the thunderous expression on his face. “What?”

“You left this behind.”

I swallow hard when I see him holding the bandage that must have fallen off my ass, and he cocks his head. “What’s this?”

“None of your business.”

I turn to go, knowing he won’t be happy with that response and his voice is cold and laced with threats as he hisses, “Then I will have to ask the man you traveled with why there is blood in this bandage. Did he hurt you?”

I don’t miss the threat in his voice, or the tension between us, and I turn to face him and scowl. “If you must know, I got a tattoo. No big deal, you have several.”

I turn and flash him a view, and the surprise on his face makes me giggle.

“When?” He is shocked and I shrug.

“You can get anything on the Romanov jet. A massage, a gourmet meal, a movie, oh and a tattoo. Apparently, they all do it to pass the time.”

“I won’t ask what else you did to pass the time.” Shade sighs and then says with interest, “Can I see it?”

“If you like.” I don’t have a problem flashing my ass at my brother and I move closer so he can appreciate Alexei’s art.

“It’s good.” He sounds impressed. “Small but delicate and warns of danger if touched. I like it.”

“I may get another.”

He shrugs. “Tattoo your whole body if it makes you happy. I’m not one to talk.”

I sit beside him on the bed and lift his hand, tracing the intricate design that covers his hand.

“Did this hurt?”

“Not really. A little pain brings a lot of pleasure if it’s done right.”

I change the subject before my expression gives a lot more away than I’m happy with.

“Tell me about Allegra.”

I’m curious about Shade’s new girlfriend.

“Is she mentally disturbed?” I say with a slight grin, and he nods. “Of course. I wouldn’t be interested if she wasn’t.”

It makes me laugh because my brother is the craziest person I have ever met, which is a good thing considering he runs the mafia side of our organization. I smile and drop his hand and am surprised when he catches my hand and says in a whisper, “If you like the Russian, tell him.”
