“You’re technically working for Brian’s company, too.”

She rolled her eyes dramatically. “Yeah, that means I have to find him an assistant. He’s sending me more stuff than I can handle with another job. I think he’s doing it because he’s overwhelmed. I can’t get that VA posting up quick enough. And he doesn’t like admin work. Even though you’ve had the temps, I don’t think he’s used them as much as he should have.”

Jordan pushed some hair out of my face before she leaned forward and kissed me again. Her hands wrapped around my neck. My hands moved up her thick thighs, squeezing as she rocked against my body. Maybe it was a mistake removing thevibrator already. I should have kept this going, but what I wanted the most of all was Jordan. Why couldn’t she relax and be mine?

She broke the kiss. “You made the arrangements. So where are we going?”

“This guy’s private ranch in Montana. So, a small airfield and then we’ll be at a B & B until tomorrow.”

“You got two rooms, right?”

I grinned.

She tilted her head as her swollen lips parted. “What? No!”

I chuckled. “Nope. We’re sharing.”

She punched my shoulder. It wasn’t hard at all. “This is so inappropriate.”

I hummed as my fingers slipped between her legs again and brushed against her clit. Her eyes widened. “Cal, I don’t know if I can do this so soon. We really need to stop. Surely, we’ll be there soon?” Her hips swayed against my fingers; her fingers clutching onto my shoulders.

“You’re right. I should wait till I can taste you.”

Jordan groaned as my fingers left her.

Chapter 40

Jordan

“What do you mean, there are no other rooms?”

The clerk in front of me shrugged. “I don’t know why there are no other rooms. It seems abnormal for this time of year, but there are no other rooms available.”

My face fell flat as my mouth fell open. “None?” I turned toward Cal, who was smirking against the wall. “Are they under Caleb Duncan?”

The clerk’s eyebrows furrowed as he flicked through his computer. His head was shaking. “No. Not by that name.”

I groaned. “Fine. Fine. Cal, lead the damn way,” I hissed as I turned to face him.

“Did you think I would buy out the bed-and-breakfast to ensure that you’re stuck with me?” he asked as he grabbed me by the waist and walked towards the stairs with me.

“Yes, absolutely.”

Cal chuckled as his hand left my waist. He grabbed my suitcase as he bounded up the stairs. I huffed as I followed him. The entire B & B seemed empty, which is why I suspected hebought out the bed-and-breakfast. Now I wonder if it was under a different name. Maybe next time I should require thatImake all the arrangements, like an assistant should. My mouth pursed as I watched his ass move up the stairs. How long was he going to do this? My phone tinkled in my shoulder bag as Brian sent memorework. Cal needed to take part more in that business, but he was too busy trying to prove to his dad that he wasn’t a screwup. Except that he wasn’t. I could see it. Brian knew it, but was frustrated with him. As he walked to our room, he opened the door. He winked; his grin widened.

“Your room, miss,” he said.

I rolled my eyes as I brushed against his body. I placed my bag on the desk and sat down. His mouth turned down. “What are you doing, Jordan?”

Pulling out my laptop, I tapped on the top of it. “I’ve got to work. I probably need to put that ad out for Brian. Doing the work for both the business andBrian is going to burn me out. How’d you guys do this before this?”

He shrugged. “It just exploded overnight. It’s not been that long. We’re still adjusting.”

The laptop dinged as I opened all the emails and files that were sent to me. My fingers scrolled through the text messages from Brian. I could feel Cal’s body behind me as his hands touched my shoulders. His fingers sliding underneath the neckline of my shirt. He leaned closer to my ear. His hot breath on my neck caused shivers down my spine.

“I want to play, Jordan.”

I sighed. “You played on the airplane.”
