Swirling my tongue around his head, I drank every drop I could, dipping my tongue in around his head to make sure I didn’t miss any. An ache throbbed deep in my core as I slid my hand under my dress and between my legs. If I could just get him down my throat, then maybe that would be enough.

“Summer,” he groaned. “Fuck, Summer, you’re perfuming.”

His hand came to my head, and I sighed when I thought he was going to fist it in my hair, but he held the back of his palm to my forehead instead.

“Miles,” I whined, pulling off him, the ache inside me getting worse by the second.

“It’s okay,” he soothed. “Everything is going to be okay. I’ve researched this and we’re prepared. I’ll take care of you, omega, don’t worry about a thing. Your pack has you.”

I believed him.

But I also needed him.

"Miles, I need this," I begged, giving him my best puppy dog eyes. He cursed again, his cock jerking at my desperate whimpers.

"It won't help," he said with more than a little regret in his tone. "Let me get you home first. I don't want to throw you into a full heat here at work."

I knew he was right but I also didn't care. My body ached sharply and it pulled me out of my desperation long enough to suck in a full breath.

"Bathroom?" I rasped, needing to get myself under control before this turned into a full-blown heat.

He pointed to a door and I rushed in. My hands shook as I splashed cool water on my face. I was a mom, I had to get it together and handle Theo first before I took them. Miles was right and right now I hated the responsibility. My head was too much of a mess, and his scent still lingered on me, taunting me.

The cool water helped keep my wave of heat at bay for a bit longer. I stayed put, splashing myself a few more times before finally ripping off a few paper towels and patting my face dry.

Now I felt like I could breathe. My heat was impending, that was for damn sure, but I could do what I needed to first.

Miles was on the phone when I returned, and sadly his cock was tucked safely back in his pants, belt done again.

What a shame.

"Yes, thank you, Beatty," he said before hanging up. Miles gave me a strained smile as I sat as far away from him as I could for the moment as he made another call. "Hey, Cole. Beatty is ready for Theo, she'll be there soon she's having some of the other workers cover her and heading out. Summer is going into heat, and she’s going to need you."

Warmth flooded me for a completely different reason now. When he said he had a plan, I assumed he meant he'd get me home before he fucked me, not that he would handle my son and make preparations.

He kept his gaze on me as he finished out the calls. Those gorgeous eyes bored into me, and it did nothing but make me squirm more.

Finally, he hung up and put his phone down.

"I sent Miller a list, he's running to the store for more food and supplies. What do you need to get your nest together?"

My heart throbbed at his question. How the hell did I get this lucky?

Miller had just shown me the area that would be my nest, and I hadn’t done anything to it. I hadn’t had a proper nest since before Theo, and the thought of taking the space the pack offered and truly making it mine was too tempting to pass up.

"I don't need much," I started, not wanting to sound like a greedy omega, but he was across the room before I could protest further. Miles pulled me up and rested a hand on my cheek.

"Don't do that. You deserve a nest you are happy with and can build up even more over the years. I won't have my omega going into a heat with the bare minimum in her nest. I've seen Bash's, Summer, you need more than a plain mattress."

Tears burned in my eyes. It was such a strange feeling to feel taken care of after years of being the strong, responsible one.

"Okay," I relented. "But I can't go out like this."

"Please, this is the era of online shopping and deliveries," he said with a laugh, pulling me over to his desk and putting me on his lap as he opened up his laptop again. "Now, behave for now."

"No promises," I said truthfully but was soon lost in scrolling through the pages of blankets, pillows, and other fluffy additions. If I even lingered on one too long, he tossed it in the cart. Miles, being the thoughtful beta he was, shooed me away before clicking the cart, refusing to let me see the cost.

"I said we'd handle it. You don't buy your own nesting supplies, Sum," he said firmly. For once, I didn't argue, letting him work as I gathered up my things and waited by the door.
