After making my way back to Julian, I wrap my arms around his waist and look up at him. "What time did you get in last night? I tried to wait up."

"Hmmm. I thought you were coming home after the gym. I didn't know you had to work," I say as I trail my hands up and down his back, looking up at him with sultry eyes. "Also, I sent you a picture yesterday that I haven't heard a word about mister."

He looks down at the flight confirmation, eyes widening for the briefest of moments before he catches himself and relaxes them. "Atlanta? Why would I tell you I'm going to Atlanta? I've been going back and forth to Nashville for the last month now, Callie. We've talkedabout this quite a few times. You must have gotten it confused with something else."
This whole situation is weird. There is no way I would confuse the two cities. They aren't anywhere near each other. Nashville is dangerously close to Rogue. I would have remembered if he mentioned it.
"Julian, I know for a fact you told me Atlanta. Why are you lying to me?" I ask him while looking into his eyes with fierce determination. He needs to know that I won't back down on this until he tells me the truth. I won’t allow someone to lie to me and let them stay in my life.
"Callie, I've never been to Atlanta," he states firmly and then chuckles. He chuckles like what I'm saying is the most outrageous thing in the world. He is really going to hold onto this lie. He just told me at dinner the other night he was going to Atlanta. I know it!
I've had enough of this bullshit. I slide my bare ass off his desk and grab my clothes off the floor, forcing them back onto my body. “I’M DONE JULIAN! I won’t be with a liar,” I yell at him.
"Callie," he calls out, but I ignore him. Once all my clothes are in place, I storm out of the room, my shoulder bumping into his arm on the way out. This mother fucker is seriously going to try to gaslight me right now. Absolutely fucking not.

Ineed time to think, so without saying another word, I storm into the kitchen, take off the ring he gave me, place it on the counter, and grab my keys to run to my car. Again, my first instinct is to pack a bag and get the fuck out of town. It would be so easy to start over like I've done so many times in the past. Avery would never let me go alone, so I would have her by my side if that's what I chose.
