“And she’s alright with that? You staying with Saint I mean?”

“I might have said that I’d be staying with you sometimes if that was okay. I just wanted to reassure her that I could survive a few days without her.”

“I get it. It’s totally fine. Tell her we have plans to watch the new Patrick Schwarzenegger and Charles Melton movies all week.”

“As if she’ll even know who that is Jordin.”

“Show her a picture and she’ll understand. There’s no one alive that wouldn’t say no to those two. She’d be drooling into her popcorn like the rest of us.”

“They are gorgeous but I got to say I think I’d watch it more for Gal Gadot. That woman is a total babe.”

“So true,” I agree. “I question my sexuality every time I watch her.”

“Oh my god I love this song,” she squeals turning up the car radio to No Scrubs by TLC.

I feel more refreshed with every second that passes. Winding down the window I sing along with her, sticking my hand out to feel the wind weaving through my finger tips like we haven’t got a care in the world.

The bell that third period has ended rings out. I make my way to my next class until suddenly something heavy has caught my backpack. For a second I think I’m stuck on something causing me to stumble backwards. Only when I look back its to see Caleb standing behind me fisting my backpack pulling me backwards into the boy’s toilets. He yells at the guy pissing in the urinal to put his tiny dick away and get the fuck out. I turn my head to the side not wanting to get as much as a glimpse of the guy’s bits. Seeing one dick this week was more than enough for me thank you very much!

No sooner does he have the door closed than Caleb’s on me, his scent catching me in all the wrong places. I try my hardest not to think about how hot he looks today in grey sweatpants, a black t-shirt that clings to his muscles displaying the tattoos on his forearms, and a backwards cap. I gulp. He’s the hottest guy I’ve ever seen in my life.

“Paper,” he demands holding his hand out towards me. And that’s when the oh fuck moment hits me like a tidal wave.

He raises a dark eyebrow. “Don’t fucking play with me Jordin. I don’t have all day. Paper now!” He demands.

I rub my temple remembering I left it on my bedroom table. “I’m sorry, I don’t have it, I...”

His brows lower. “The fuck you mean you don’t have it?” His tone is deadly.

I hold up my hands in defence because honestly with the way he’s looking at me right now it would make even the toughest guys in this school piss their pants. Sucking in a deep breath I go to tell him what happened except when I do it comes out all shaky and rambled.

“I... I have it. I mean it’s finished, I swear its finished. I was just so tired from working all night on it that I slept in this morning and was in so much of a rush to get to school that I forgot it.”

He slams the palm of his hand into the wall behind us. His tone staying the same when he asks “Where is it?”

“On my desk at home.”

Nostrils flaring he roughly grabs my chin tilting my head up to face him. “Are you trying to provoke me little girl? Because you won’t like the consequences if you are.”

I don’t like the way he’s looking at me right now. It may have been on another man’s face, but I’ve seen that look before. I remember the harm rage like that can lead to.

I begin to tremble and lower my head.

“Look at me when I’m talking to you,” he demands yelling in my face.

Tears well in my eyes when I look up at him then quickly look away.

“Jordin look at me. I would never hurt you,” His tone of voice now gentle, raising his thumb to skim across my cheek doing a complete 180 from the violent outburst just a minute ago.

My heart continues to jack hammer in my chest making my vision slightly blurr. I clear my throat finding the courage somewhere deep into me to speak.

“I’m not trying to provoke you I swear. I genuinely forgot it I….”

I don’t get to finish the rest of what I was going to say when he puts his hand in mine, picking up my bag with the other leading me out of school. He ignores all the looks we get from students as we walk past them. We could almost pass for a couple. Almost.

“Get in the car,” he demands with a pointed finger to the car door.

I don’t say anything as I climb in his car, the leather of his sleek seats cooling my hot skin.
