She bows down leaning into me.

“Just one. That’s all you’re getting.”

I smirk but then she catches me off guard crashing her plump lips to mine with a quick peck.”

“That’s not the type of kiss I meant.”

“You asked for a kiss, you got one. Now let me in.”

“I did ask for a kiss but not that kind of kiss. Now you need to be punished.”

She cocks a brow, “I need to be punished?”

“Yes. Beg.”

“What? What do you mean beg?”

“Get on your hands and knees and say please Caleb can you give me a ride back to school.”

“You can’t be serious. Come on open the door,” she says pulling on the locked handle again.

“BEG.”

She looks around to see if anyone’s watching. Letting out a long huff as she slowly lowers herself onto the ground on her knee’s muttering something I can’t make out on her way to the ground.

“I’m waiting,” I say with an air of impatience.

“Please Caleb will you give me a ride back to school?”

I hit the button on the steering wheel to power up the engine watching her in amusement as music blasts from the speakers drowning out the sound of her plea.

“What was that?” I shout in mocking. My hand cups my ear, the other on the steering wheel turning the music up louder.

“I can’t hear you Jordin. LOUDER.”

I wait just as she’s about to open that smart mouth of hers then rev up the engine just enough to spin the wheels covering her in a cloud of dust. Before I take off I shout out the window to her.

“Better run fast if you wanna make that test.”

Chapter Thirty-three

“Youasshole,”Iyellat his retreating vehicle, not that he can hear me. I check my phone again. I can’t call Lexy because she’ll ask too many questions demanding answers I cant give her. Not to mention she’ll only end up leaving school to come get me missing the test herself. I’m left with no choice but to call an uber. I might not make it back to school in time for the test but I won’t give him the satisfaction of beating me.

The relief on my face is clear when a few minutes later my Uber pulls up. I’m definitely going to miss this test. I sigh pulling my buzzing phone from my pocket but I don’t even need to look at it to know its Lexy wondering where the hell I am.

When I pull up at Rose Bay Academy my jaw almost hits the floor. The entire school is on the front lawn when the uber pulls up to the entrance to the school gate. When Lexy texted to ask where I was, I told her I had to rush home quickly in an emergency and that I was on my way back but was worried I wouldn’t make it in time for the exam. I didn’t know what she meant by “leave it to me girl, just get here as quickly as you can,” but never in a million years did I think she meant this. She makes her way towards me from the gathered crowd throwing her arms around me with a smug look on her face.

She gives me a cheeky wink, “Told you bestie, I got you.”

“Lex you’re amazing,” I say, squeezing her into a tight hug. “What did you do?”
