He lets out a hearty chuckle. “Can I take that as in you like it?”

I nod vigorously. “I love it.”

His eyes light up, and he holds his hand out for mine, and I take it as he guides me into our new home.

Suddenly, he stops walking. “Wait. This isn’t right,” he says, then shocks the shit out of me by sweeping me off my feet and carrying me into the house bridal style. “That’s more like it.”

I yelp, then giggle, holding onto him for dear life. “That’s for married people going over the threshold.”

“Something we’ll have to remedy then.”

“Saint,” I scold, batting his chest and making him laugh. It’s so genuine and carefree that I want to hear it more.

The foyer beckons me in with a full glass entry, dazzling chandelier, and the most beautifully designed mosaic patterned floors I’ve ever seen. The house is stunning with modern furniture and has everything we have at home, including a cinema room, games room, and gym with every piece of equipment you could think of. The wow factor so far was the living area, which unfolded in an open expanse with wall-to-ceiling beams and a massive working fireplace; that made me think of Christmas time and how my dad used to hang our stockings around the fireplace when I was younger.

The rest of the house is adorned with plush furnishings that radiate comfort and style. The more we walk around, the more I fall in love with it.

“This is our room,” Saint says, standing back to let me take it all in. The master suite boasts a huge king-sized bed, a private terrace, and an en-suite bathroom that rivals a five-star spa.

He then shows me the most amazing thing of all - a rooftop terrace that will be our own little private haven above the stars, offering panoramic views of the city above the trees. It isn’t furnished, and my mind is working overtime thinking about everything I could do to it.

“It must look amazing up here at night time. We could put up fairy lights and have a seating area in that corner over there,” I say, pointing to the empty space.

Saint chuckles warmly, coming up behind me and wrapping his tattooed arms around my waist. “You can have anything you want, Angel. Although I was thinking about a hot tub so I can fuck you in it all night under the stars.”

Heat pulls at my core. “I think I would like that, too.”

It feels like a dream. A dream I don’t have to wake up from. And I could tell Saint loved watching my reactions as he brought me up here, his eyes reflecting a vulnerability he rarely showed.

“Saint, I don’t even know what to say. It’s all incredible. I can’t believe you bought this house…for us.”

“I want this to be where we can build our future, Lexy. Somewhere safe and away from the bad memories so we can make new ones but remain close enough to the city.”

I turn to him, my eyes brimming with a mixture of emotions. “It’s... it’s beyond anything I could have ever imagined, Saint. It’s not just a house; it’s a dream.”

He wraps his arms around me, kissing me on the forehead. “Our dream, Lexy.”

He pulls away, looking into my eyes, which reflect so much love. “There’s one more surprise to show you.”

My arms widen, and I cock a brow. “More than all this?”

“I think you’re going to love this more than anything,” he smiles. “I saved the best for last.”

“Ohhh. And where is this fabulous surprise?” I tease, loaded with intrigue because, seriously, what can top all this?

“It’s in the garden.”

My eyebrows lower in confusion. “The garden?”

“Mmhmm.”

“This I’ve got to see.”

Saint leads me out a side door to the back of the property to the far side of the outdoor pool area. He covers my eyes with his hand again, making me giggle. This time, there are no nerves. Only excitement.

“If this is a hot tub, then I’m sorry to disappoint you, babe. After what you just said, that’s definitely going on the rooftop now.”

“It’s not a hot tub.”
