“You are not having her.”

“Ah there he is. I’d almost forgotten you were here faced with such a delicate morsel in front of me, and how fitting we found you with the gender and species we also wanted to find. Shame it’s the wrong female, but I won’t let a fresh pussy and such soft flesh go to waste.”

A small squeal of fear comes from Felicity and I see her totter unsteadily backwards. I lunge forward, just catching her before she faints. “Yes, you are right. This is not the female who you have been searching for. It was a different one who burnt our first cave and killed our leader and some of our clan. She was with the green aliens who we captured. The other female is the one you want, so let this one go.”

Zoar walks towards me, his eyes narrowing and his lips curling back over his fangs. “I am the leader now. I proclaimed we would fuck and feast on any females we came across. You forfeited your right of voicing your opinion when you went against my new laws. So, after I've used this pathetic female’s body and feasted on her whilst you watch, I’m going to let the Badligons who were once your clan feast on you. But I won’t give you the curtesy of death first... No. I’ll let them eat you alive.”

I take a step back lifting Felicity into my arms as I do. Her head lolls back, her golden hair falling like water cascading from a waterfall. “By the beliefs of the Badligons stretching back eons, I challenge you to a fight.” The other Badligons standing around us gasp. “A fight for the female. If you win, she is yours to do with what you want. But if I win, you let us go. You give us free passage out of here, and never hunt either of us down again.”

His eyes narrow and his nostrils flare. He paces in front of me, his arms crossed in front of his chest, his bicep muscles flexing. I can see by his jutting jaw he is unsure, weighing up the odds. He knows one-on-one, I’m a fearsome warrior. His eyes flick over the blood splatters covering my arms , chest and legs. He can see I’ve been beat up by his males, but to what extent, he’s unsure.

I drop my shoulder and try to hide a fake grimace I let distort my features. His one eyebrow quirks. He’s taken the bate.

“I accept the challenge. Where do you want to do it?”

My mind races. If we fight down here, there’s a good chance the others will jump me if I get the better of Zoar. I need to be somewhere I have a chance to escape with Felicity.

“There is a small clearing in the forest not far from here.” His brow draws together suspiciously. “Don’t worry, it’s not big enough to take flight from. We’ll have to land on the treetops and climb down into it, then do the same and climb upon to them to fly out.”

Zoar nods once, and then looks over at the clan members and dips his head in Felicity’s direction. Koda strides forward and rips her from my arms, then jumps into the air, his wings slapping against me as he takes off with her.

Zoar gestures for me to go next. “After you. Then when we are out of the cave, lead the way. But don’t get any ideas about fleeing. Remember, I have no qualms anymore about fuckingand feasting on the female.” His grin is evil. “Maybe even at the same time.”

My hands curl into fists. I can’t wait to ram them into his face. I bend my knees and take off. Leaving the cave this time is bitter sweet. The last time I exited it was when I had been banished.

Koda is hovering outside the cave entrance, Felicity in his arms. I give him daggers with my icy stare and fly past him in the direction of the clearing. I lead followed by Koda Carrying Felicity, Zoar, leaving the others to tail us.

My heart rate is slow. I need to stay calm and think straight. As I approach the small open area, I see that there is a tree slightly higher than the rest, it will be important if I need to make a quick escape.

I fly down and land on a large branch of a tree top and stay where while I watch the others do the same. When we are all on different trees on the edge of the clearing, we stand motionless for a moment staring at each other. It’s me who jumps down first.

Zoar lands about ten feet away from me and the others keep to the perimeter. I glance over at Felicity, but she’s still passed out.

Every muscle in my body tenses as I face Zoar, the new self-proclaimed leader of the remaining clan I crashed landed here with months ago. The air between us crackles with anticipation, and I can feel the eyes of the male clan members who came with us, heavy on me. The forest around them falls silent, as if every living creature inside it is holding its breath.

The fight for Felicity's freedom fires up every cell in my body. We’ll soon both fly out of here alive, or I’ll die trying, and I’ll be sure to maim as many as these Badligons as possible in the process. The challenge is about to begin.

Zoar's wings unfurl, stretching wide, touching the overhanging tree branches that make it impossible to fly out of the clearing, as he tries to exude dominance, casting an imposing shadow over the small clearing. His deadpan eyes lock onto mine, and I see arrogance and bloodlust. I can literally feel my blood boiling in my veins. Felicity whimpers and both of our heads turn to look in her direction. Her eyes flicker open and then stretch wide when she sees Zoar.

Zoar turns back to me and a sick grin curls up the edges of his mouth. I watch his black tongue flick out and lick his lips, his hand falling to the bulge of his cock curled away in his pants, which he grabs and squeezes. “I can almost taste and feel her.”

My veins bulge from my forearms as I flex my fingers before curling them into tight fists, determined and fuelled by the need to protect the female I know so little about, yet I feel an affinity for. My chest pulls tight when I take another glimpse her way. I think I really care for her. My knees bend and I assume a defensive stance.

Without warning, Zoar’s wings fold with astonishing speed and he lunges forward, his talons extending like deadly weapons. As he leaps through the air towards me, my muscles are already pumped with adrenaline and I swiftly sidestep, narrowly avoiding his slashing claws. But the surging adrenaline not only gives me an incredible flight response, it also primes me to fight. My retaliation, is a powerful kick at Zoar's side as he lunges past me. The impact reverberates through the air, but Zoar is resilient and agile and to my amazement, very quick to recover.

The dance of combat unfolds, and there’s a blur of slashing claws and flying fists as blows are exchanged between us. Zoar is good, and my agility and combat prowess clashes with Zoar's brute strength and cunning tactics. Each strike, parry, and counterattack after counterattack resonate through the clearing, echoing the intensity of our battle. Our grunts and roars of combatant, create a symphony of chaos in the forest’s natural beauty.

I don’t know how he does it, but Zoar's wings become both shield and weapon. He uses them to deflect my blows, creating a barrier and making it almost impossible to land decisive hits. Felicity’s screams fuel me, despite the odds, and I persist with my line of attack, utilizing my speed to dart in and out of Zoar's reach.

My mind races as the fight continues, I’ve underestimated Zoar. I need to find a weakness, a vulnerability in Zoar's defences.

Suddenly, Zoar stumbles and I seize the opportunity, throwing my whole body weight behind a punch. But a cunning glint flashes in Zoar's eyes, and my stomach feels as if it’s fallen into my feet as I realise he feigned the stumble, luring me into a false sense of confidence. Seizing the opportunity, Zoar’s knee lifts with surprising speed. It connects with the side of my ribs, sending me sprawling to the ground.

Pain shoots through my body, but I refuse to acknowledge it. With a burst of determination, I roll away from a looming Zoar and spring back onto my feet, noticing a warm feeling all down my side.

Zoar’s eyes go to the side of my body where I feel warm, and there’s a look of newfound confidence wash over his face. I quickly follow his eyes and see a gash on my side and the forest floor beneath me stained with my blood.

As I look back up, Zoar leaps towards me, his arms extended, his hands open and claws fully extended. I once again dodge and parry, retaliating with a series of calculated strikes. We are two formidable opponents, each of us refusing to back down.
