I tucked my gun behind my back and opened the door, taking the order and giving him a chin lift. “Thanks.”

The guy spun on his heel and left, climbing into an old truck before he pulled away from the curb. I scanned the lot and nearby rooms. Nothing felt off.

I ordered my crow to watch my bike and the room and knew he would sound the alarm if anyone approached.

Crow’s words echoed in my head.Touch my sister, and I’ll rip off your fucking dick.

He didn’t know what she meant to me. I didn’t want to explain that shit over the phone. Gail wasn’t some quick fuck. I didn’t want to use her just to get my dick wet, even if my thoughts were consumed with lust and desire for this woman.

I knew, I fuckingknewshe was mine.

That was a huge problem because crows. . .mated forlife.

The bathroom door opened as I set the food on the bed. I turned and locked the door before my gaze swung in her direction.

Fuck. Me.

Gail wore my t-shirt. . . and that wasallshe fucking wore. I knew because she draped her underwear and bra over the sink to dry. Her shorts and shirt were folded to the side.

Don’t think about her pussy. Her soft, exposed, naked pussy.

Instant. Hard-on.

I struggled to breathe as my hand indicated the food had arrived. “Hungry?” The word came out strangled, but she didn’t react.

Gail nodded, walked to the bed, and sat on the mattress. Her long legs lifted, exposing her upper thighs. Goddamn. She had the longest, sexiest legs.

I didn’t dare glance toward the mirror because if I did and saw her ass, I’d be done for. I’d have to touch her, and that wouldn’t end well.

Fuck. I swallowed the saliva in my mouth before I fucking drooled.

“What did you get?”

I joined her on the bed, opened the two bags, and lifted everything out. She’d get the first pick. I’d eat whatever she didn’t.

“I ordered a couple of different chicken sandwiches since I wasn’t sure if you wanted a deluxe or not. Every sauce on the menu for dipping. Onion rings and fries. A loaded double burger. Two fish sandwiches. And a couple of hot apple pies.”

She blinked. “That’s a lot of food.”

I watched as she poked a straw in her tea and took a sip. “I eat a lot.”

“I can see that. This tea is perfect.”

Without sugar? Disgusting. I didn’t give her my opinion, though.

“Dig in.” I reached for a fish sandwich and unwrapped it, taking a bite and chewing as I watched her check both chickensandwiches, picking the one with the lettuce, tomato, pickle, and mayo.

“I’ll take this one.” She opened a ketchup and dunked an onion ring, avoiding the spicy sauce that came with them.

I cataloged all her choices in my mind so I would know what she wanted next time without having to ask.

“Tell me about your thyroid.” Yeah, it was blunt, but I wanted to know how it affected her and why she needed medication for it.

“It’s underactive. Hypothyroid, to be exact. I’m fine as long as I take my medication every day.”

“And if you don’t?”

“I get tired, likereallytired, and it messes with my sleep. Sometimes it affects my heartrate too.”
