“I’m so proud of the woman you’ve become,” Dad said.
“Thank you, Dad.” I felt my face heat up.
“And to think, this all started because your mom was a cheating whore.”
I busted out laughing. “How much have you had to drink tonight?”
“A little more than I needed to, I guess.”
“I hope Kathryn is driving. You guys can stay here if you want, Dane and Alissa are.”
“Thank you, I may have to take you up on that.”
Dad and I swayed back and forth to the beat of the music until the song was over and he delivered me back to my awaiting husband.
“Is it everything you hoped it would be?” Mason whispered into my ear.
“It’s better and I have a surprise for you.” I pressed a kiss to his lips.
He stood back and watched as I made my way to the DJ. I stood behind the microphone and got everyone’s attention.
“I haven’t done this in awhile, but I wanted to do something special tonight. I wanted to show you how much I love you, and what better way, than with a song.” I looked at Mason.
Everyone cheered with their eyes fixed on me.
