MILEY

I wokeup to the smell of breakfast cooking again.

My eyes were bleary, and I was exhausted. I felt confident I’d either slept for two hours, or something outrageous, like twenty.

Zander slipped into the room with two plates of food, his hair damp from a shower. All he had on was a pair of shorts, and the few wounds he had looked almost entirely healed.

He grinned when he saw me. “Good morning, Sweetheart.”

“How do you always wake up before me?” I asked with a yawn.

“Guess it’s my superpower.” He sat down beside me, setting my plate down on the comforter that covered my lap. “Shirtless breakfast should be a requirement from now on.”

I glanced down at myself.

Yup, my tits were out.

He pinched one of my nipples for emphasis. “Fucking perfect.”

I grabbed a piece of bacon and took a bite of it.

If he wanted to play with my tits, it was kind of his right. I’d sure made it my right to touch all of him. If his wings or cock had been out, I probably wouldn’t have been able to stop myself from copping a feel either.

“What time is it?” I asked.

“Early. We leave for yoga in fifteen minutes; I called and got us back into the class.”

I blinked. Worry made my stomach clench. “Are you sure it’s safe?”

“Yep. Safe, and worth it. You’re free, Sweetheart. We’re going to live like it again.” He gestured toward my plate with his fork. “Eat fast. We have to get dressed and out the door.”

Even though I was nervous, and wanted to protest, I knew he was right.

Evan didn’t have power over me anymore.

Iwasfree.

And I was done hiding.

Twenty minutes later,we were walking into yoga, our fingers weaved together. My ring was still on my hand, though I wasn’t sure whether to consider it an engagement ring or a wedding ring.

Technically, we were already married. Or more than married, since there was no possible way to separate us.

When we sat down and started stretching, I noticed a silver band on Zander’s hand too.

Guess mine was a wedding ring.

The realization made it hard to suppress a smile.

“Welcome back!” the instructor said to both of us, as she beamed from where she stood in front of our mats. “I hope you had an incredible extended honeymoon. I, for one, am jealous.”

Extended honeymoon?

I blinked.

Guess that was the reason he’d given when he called and reenrolled us in the class.
