“Forever.” As I pull her into the shower, my mouth is on hers with my one hand still pumping her pussy until she’s crying out my name again.

It’s late when we both curl up on the bed, wrapped up in the covers, and sleep takes over for her. There will be no sleep for me tonight. I have to be prepared for whatever Volchek has planned. He’s been too damn quiet. The thought of him coming to get her sets my teeth on edge, so I have to strike sooner than I had planned. I’ve already wiped out half his men and a third of his businesses. Tomorrow the rest of the dominos will fall.

Still, it all depends on his intent on getting Katya back. It won’t happen. Still, how far will he go to get his way?

Climbing out of bed, I dress in my pajamas and robe to go and check on the situation. Most of the house is in bed, but the night guards are there, keeping an eye on the perimeter.

I walk into the security room and check with Ivan. “It’s been quiet, except for his cries every once in a while. We have their electronics. They were communicating with Volchek’s right-hand man, Anatoly Petrov’s cousin, Abram.”

“Petrov?” He hands me the report from the phones, and I read through the string of texts.

“Yes, according to the reports we’ve been getting in, he stopped working for his cousin a while back and then joined Volchek yesterday.” The reports of Vlad’s death and the wharf explosion have made the news, so it’s time to give Volchek my condolences.

“Thank you. I have a call to make.”

I leave him and head into my office, where I dial Volchek’s secure line. “Vlad, it’s good to hear you’re still alive and kicking. I heard what happened at the wharf today. Terribly sorry about your loss.”

“Fuck you, you bastard. I know it was you and I know you took my other prize. I want her back. She doesn’t have a part in this and doesn’t have to die for it.” Wow, for a whole second, he actually sounds concerned. If I hadn’t overheard their conversation, I might actually believe he cared.

“What prize?” The one I soiled with my seed, smiling to myself as I sat in my leather chair.

“Give her back to me.” He sounds like a petulant child.

“I don’t know who you’re talking about.”

“My daughter.”

“Since when do you have a daughter, Vladdy boy?”

“Bastard. You’re asking for me to destroy you.”

“Why? Were you looking to sell her off or hoping to give her to your next in line?”

“Your father got what he deserved by digging his nose into places it shouldn’t have been. He wanted to take her from me, and now he’s dead along with your family. I should have made sure to kill you as well.”

“He’d been your friend. My mother and brother were innocent. Nothing can stop me from taking you down. I’ll go keep an eye on the lovely little sleeping beauty. Or should I just call her Katya?” I end the call as he releases a bunch of curses.

What the fuck did he mean about my father wanting to take Katya away from him? I slam my fist down on the desk and then get up and pour a drink. Slamming it back, I go for another two more before I find myself too fucking angry, sending the glass into the fireplace.

Nothing in my plan changes for Volchek. Tomorrow, I’ll clear out all his Eastern Shoreway shipping accounts. I want him squirming without the funds to attack me.

My next call is to Petrov. “Semyonov, it’s three in the morning,” he growls.

“Did you have something to do with my parents’ deaths?” My question is direct.

“What? Are you fucking nuts? Of course, I wouldn’t have shit to do with that.”

“What does Abram do for you?”

“Abram and I have cut ties due to his behavior. He’s an addict now and refuses to get help. I haven’t seen him in weeks, but my people have told me he showed up at my corporate headquarters.”

“I’m telling you I won’t hold back and save any mercy for anyone involved with sending my brother into an early grave.”

“I understand. You don’t have a beef with me. Do what you must. However, I can’t help you kill him. He’s a piece of shit, but he’s my family.”

“As long as we understand each other. Do you know what’s going on with Drago? I need to speak with him as well.”

“He’s busy in his own mess. He’s got the daughter of a judge in his grasp, and I have a feeling the icy bastard has finally found someone to thaw that brutally cold heart of his.”
