“Who is he?” she asks, looking back and forth between us.

“Nico Fratelli.”

Natalya starts. “I’ve heard that name before.” I’ve never shared that information. I look at Drago to see what he’s revealed. He shakes his head.

“What do you mean?” her father asks. He keeps his business away from his family, except for Junior, of course, who is following in his footsteps.

“Rachel was dating a guy named Nico recently, and then I remember her asking me if I wanted to meet up at their family restaurant, Fratelli’s, but I told her I couldn’t because we were leaving for Russia.”

“Rachel?” Drago asks. He knows all of her friends and did background checks on them before allowing them back into her life.

“Yes.”

“Fuck, are all your friends shady?” I ask, hating all those bitches and wanting to cut them all from her life. It will help that we’re going to be thousands of miles and continents apart.

“Rachel’s not like that.” She’s shaking, and her eyes are filled with tears again. Damn it, I don’t like that shit one bit, so I pull her into my arms.

“Maybe he got to her and charmed his way into her life,” Drago says.

“It’s possible. The bastard is going to pay.” My fists clench behind Natalya’s back as I hold her close.

“Where is Mom?” she asks.

“She’s with Roman and Katya. I thought it was safer for them to keep an eye on the rest of my family.”

I turn to Drago and shake my head because he’s got a lot to answer for, even if he’s pissed at me. “It is, which is why I don’t understand why you brought Natalya here. I told you I’d come when I had things wrapped up.”

“Ilya, you were running ragged trying to find that fucker. Day and night, no fucking rest while you weren’t even healed, and my daughter sat at home, miserable. Like you said, you’re the best person to protect her. You literally stole her right in front of my wife and dared my wrath. No man would challenge me for her hand, and trust me, I’ve had offers, but I already gave you my blessing. I’m sorry that I made you think otherwise.”

“Offers? Who?” I challenge. I’ll fucking slit their throats.

“Not important.”

“The hell it isn’t.”

“I’m curious,” Natalya says, testing my patience in front of her father. She doesn’t realize that I’m on the verge of losing my mind already. I nearly lost her today, and the only thing keeping me off her is the fact that her father is feet from us with a loaded weapon. I’d pin her to the wall and stuff her with my cock or tie her back up and fuck her roughly until she understands what she means to me.

“You better get uncurious, Princess.”

There’s a rapid knock on the front door. “What’s going on?” I call out, pushing Natalya behind me.

“We have a fix on Fratelli.” It’s Piotr, so I open the door for my team and then my guard continues. “We triangulated all the cameras. In his rush to get your fiancée, he messed up and let his cover slip.”

I meet with my men outside where they’ve stationed a tracking system and learn what they have on Fratelli’s whereabouts. My lead technician has been tracking his movements through Omsk, and he’s headed toward my hideout. The only way he’d know where she was is if he has her phone location pinged. He’s not far out anymore.

“I have a plan,” I say. “We need to move, so pack it up,” I tell them. Heading inside, I pull Natalya to my side and kiss her temple. “He’s on his way here, but I have a plan to finally get rid of that fuck.”

“Go ahead,” Drago says.

I lay it out, but Natalya’s not happy with the risks. She’s looking at her father with tears and guilt in her eyes.

My godfather pulls her into his arms and says, “It’s fine, sweetling. I’m looking forward to greeting this bastard. I trust Ilya not to miss his target.”

“You know I won’t.” It’s a promise I can easily make because I’m an expert shot even at a distance while chasing a moving target.

I checked the time and distance from Nico’s position and ours. We’re about twenty minutes from his location, so we head out, moving in modes of transportation.

I have Natalya with me in the helicopter while her father rides with her phone in the vehicle on the back roads that lead back to Omsk. It’s not long before a black SUV races down the same road at a high rate of speed. We know it has to be him because of the trace, and sure as fuck no one else is traveling down this hidden path. Suddenly Fratelli makes Drago’s SUV and speeds up behind him at over a hundred miles an hour.
