“I know.” I reach up and kiss his cheek before walking out in front of him, shaking my ass.

“Don’t worry, Ilya. We’ll keep her safe and under control. No one will dare cross us.”

“Thank you.”

We enter the kitchen and my future father-in-law smiles at me, but my father is glaring at Ilya. “Took long enough this morning.”

“Yes, well, some of us don’t take five minutes to get dressed. I had to get pretty.”

“You’re already beautiful, sweetheart,” my father says.

“I told you.” Ilya kisses my hand and then goes to grab some coffee. “Would you like some, or would you prefer some orange juice?”

“Coffee,” I groan. After our languid, quiet lovemaking, I slept like a baby, but it was still only six hours and I’m beat. He hands me a cup, and my mother-in-law slides over the serving tray of cream and sugar. I mix some in my coffee and then take a sip. It’s freaking perfect and I let out a moan to prove it, which makes Ilya growl against my ear.

“Behave,” he whispers. “Take a seat.”

“So, are you heading into the office?” Mr. Semyonov asks Ilya.

“Yes, I have a lot to do and I’d like to make my presence known, just in case people get suspicious.”

“We’ll escort the ladies today.”

“When is Junior coming?”

“I spoke to him this morning. He should be here before the wedding.”

“What’s he doing that he can’t be here sooner?”

“That’s not your concern, my little sweetling,” my mother says, answering for my father.

“I hope it’s not dangerous.” From the look they’re giving each other, I’m betting it’s more than dangerous. It’s deadly.

“I don’t know why I bother asking. Anyway, I’d like some food before we go. I’m exhausted, and my body aches after yesterday.”

“Excuse me, that’s TMI,” my other brother says.

“I’m talking about running from danger and being tied up, but…” Ilya covers my mouth.

“This wedding can’t come soon enough.”

Chapter Fourteen

Ilya

It’s my wedding day and I couldn’t be happier, except my future brother-in-law isn’t fucking here yet. He has a thing against me, but I thought that shit had ended. That fucking asshole is going to get murdered if he doesn’t make it here before the ceremony starts.

“Where is he?” I snarl, staring at my father-in-law who looks equally worried. “Is there some transportation issue?” I add.

“Something like that.”

“Natalya’s going to be devastated if he’s not here. I know the bastard has a thing against me.”

“He doesn’t. This has nothing to do with either of you—that is something I can promise. It’s time for me to take my place and bring you your bride.” He gives me a hug and then walks hurriedly down the aisle back to the bridal suite.

I believe he wouldn’t hurt Natalya so I’m sure that Drago is telling me the truth, but it doesn’t change the fact that her older brother isn’t here when he promised he would be.

The music starts, and I take my place with my brother and Anatoly at my side. The side door of the church opens, and suddenly a little grumbling comes with a bit of shuffling. “You will sit and behave, or you won’t sit right for the next couple of days,” a loud hiss comes from Drago Romanov Jr. to a red-headed woman that he has braced by her elbow. She’s in a pretty wedding outfit and wouldn’t look out of place if it wasn’t for the obvious handcuff on her wrist, linking her to Junior.
