“I’ve spoken to your clients.”

“So have I.”

“And?”

“Sure, my programs are intense. People usually come to me to get into the best shape of their lives. Not everyone can hack it.”

“Wow, again,” she scoffs and lets her arm drop. “Is it so hard for you to admit that your way isn’t the only way?”

“And your way is?”

“No, not for everyone. I can accept that some women might prefer your programs, and others might want a combination. I’m happy to coexist with you and even exchange ideas.”

“That’s all right. My gym is doing just fine.”

“What about you, Leo? I’m worried about your stress. That vein pulsing in your forehead is a dangerous sign.”

It’s pulsing because of her.

“Have you tried yoga or meditation?”

“I have my own method for reducing stress.”

“What’s that?”

“Fucking,” I say to shock her, but it backfires.

She sends that teasing grin my way and traces the line on my forehead with her fingertip. “Then you should definitely get laid before that thing pops.”

“You offering?” I circle my hand around her wrist.

“I don’t really like you, Leo.”

“I don’t really like you either, but that doesn’t answer my question.”

Giving into temptation, I tug her closer and she tilts her head back, her gaze fusing with mine. “I’ve pictured it,” I say, inhaling the scent of her skin. “I fantasized about having your thighs around my shoulders and my face between your legs.”

She gasps softly and my dick gets so hard I have to lock my knees.

“I want you, Jazz.”

“Wanting you is no good for me.” Her body trembles against mine.

I graze the underside of her jaw with my mouth, taking the risk of getting too close to all her sexual energy and satiny curves, that will suck me in so fast I’ll barely know what hit me.

“Let go, Leo.”

Her demand sounds weak, but I do as she asks, and release her wrist, but I don’t move away, and neither does she.

“One kiss, Jazz,” I say hoarsely, the need, a greedy beast. “Let me have that.”

CHAPTER 6

Jazz

I CAN’T BREATHE AGAINST THE surge of arousal. Leo’s standing so close, his mouth trailing to my ear in a ghost of a kiss that has me yearning to give in. My response intensified by my irritation that I can want a man I find rude and offensive. Both qualities are normally a turn off and yet I’m majorly turned on by him.

I’d been playing it cool and taunting. And now I’m reminded of those lyrics, “Don’t let your mouth write a cheque that your body can’t cash.”
