HOLLYN

I get pregnant with our first child a year later.

A girl.

Adelyn Belle.

Reid ends up taking over the Boston Wildcats, coaching between the hockey seasons with the NHL, and hiring other NHL rookies for the times he’s not available. I’m not entirely sure what happens with Weston, but the last time I heard, he was working in insurance.

I come and help, but Reid gets distracted by my presence, so I’ve moved my spot up a few bleachers and out of arm’s reach.

Eventually, I start bringing Addie, who sports a number seven jersey, with me to the Wolverines’ games to cheer on Daddy and her “uncles.”

Reid demands that I keep my legs closed and stop tempting him with my body. But our twins, Connor and Cody, are born nine months later.

Together, we live at Reid’s house, a bit out of city limits, but I love the country life. As the years tick by, my husband doesn’t change the way he wants and thinks about things. He’s still obsessively committed, and I’m still as in love with him as I was before.

Eventually, he retires from the NHL finding a new passion coaching hockey for the youth in the area, including our own kids, who are now following in their Dad’s footsteps.

We start our own youth hockey league for the Northeastern region.

And in our free time we’re building a new tequila brand called “The Reaper.”

My main focus is on being a mom and wife, but I still enjoy handing out juice boxes and snacks to the kids during practice.

When we’re at home with our children, we often reminisce on how we met. We laugh about our early days together in the dingy Boston arena where a nerdy bookworm full of sunshine fell for the grumpy, suspended hockey player.

The End.
