“Sorry,” I say, knowing I’m hovering.

“It’s okay baby,” Andrew says back, kissing the top of my head. That makes Little Drew lean over and snatch the cap from my head, laughing loudly as he flings it back and forth, almost hitting Andrew in the face. I chuckle, smoothing my hair down. Guess my ears will be a bit cold.

Looking around before we step inside the building, I ask, “Do you want a winter wedding?”

Andrew laughs. “Gods, no. No matter how long we’re mated, I’ll probably never love the season or the snow as much as you do.”

I shrug, knowing he’s right. He’s gotten better, for sure, letting me play some Christmas music while I’m getting ready to go the bar and still holding up to our deal to watch one Christmas movie a month, but that’s as far as it goes. He did help Little Drew and I set up the tree and didn’t look too upset by it. Little Drew loved the ornaments and Andrew took great pride in the baby putting the star on top of the tree—even though he didn’t want to let it go.

“True. You’ve come a long way though.”

Even though he rolls his eyes at me, I see the smile on his face. My mate is the best.

“Dyl!” I hear shouted from across the room and smile when I see Chris and Brandon together. They both rush over to me, pulling me away from my mate. He doesn’t seem to mind, walking over to where Mason and Miles are standing by a fire, talking about Gods knows what.

“Hey, you two,” I say, giving them both hugs. “Awesome wedding, right?”

“It’s gorgeous,” Brandon mutters, looking around at the winter decorations that make up the reception hall. There’s garlands and holly everywhere, a large Douglas Fir Christmas tree in the corner that’s decorated to within an inch of its life while also looking tasteful, each table has a tiny Christmas tree in the center and tinsel wound around chairs and poles. The room has a light above it that makes the shape of different snowflakes on the dance floor.

It’s a Christmas-obsessed omega’s dream come true.

I smile in agreement. “It really is. Benji went all out.”

“He did. Tanner helped. That kid knows his stuff and loves helping his parents even more,” Brandon says.

Before we can say more, the men of the hour arrive to raucous applause from everyone assembled. Their cheeks are pink from the cold weather, but they glow with happiness. They clasp hands with each other and Tanner, who has a bouncing Samuel in his arms, both of whom are beaming as well. Samuel claps his hands happily, making everyone coo at his cuteness.

“Okay, okay,” Benji says, walking over to the table set aside for the grooms. They also have space for their children since they didn’t have a traditional wedding party. “Who’s ready to have some fun?” Everyone whoops, clapping again.

Before we get to the fun and food, we all line up by the groom’s table so we can congratulate them on their marriage and give them our gift. When it’s our turn, Benji wraps me in a hug, rocking me back and forth. “So glad you two were able to make it. You two are next, right?”

I shake my head. “We don’t like big celebrations like this. We may have a reception but no wedding ceremony.”

Before Benji can say anything else, Tanner says, “Good. Don’t h-h-have it in www-winter. You’ll freeze—”

“Do not say ‘balls’ or I will take away your gaming privileges for a week,” Benji warns in a mild tone, making Tanner snicker behind his hand.

Laughing, I move over to Rome who smiles down at me before he gives me a quick hug. “I’m really glad this all worked out.”

“This what?” I ask, but he just shakes his head and looks at Andrew, whose face is red. “What is this?”

“Ask him,” Rome says with a chuckle.

“Some friend you are,” Andrew mutters, making Rome laugh harder as he gives Andrew a hug.

We walk over to the table assigned to us to wait for the congratulations line to wind down. While we wait, I turn to Andrew. “What was Rome talking about?”

He sighs and hands me Little Drew, who stands on my legs so he can bounce up and down. This child has loads of energy.

“Remember the first night I came into the bar?”

“How could I forget?” I ask, smiling at him. He was the most handsome alpha I’d ever seen, with his furrowed brows and downturned mouth. Even through his bad mood, I could tell he was someone I wanted to know.

After giving me a withering look that makes me giggle, he says, “Yeah, well, you were staring at me.” That I was. I followed him with my eyes for a few minutes, even while I was taking orders. “Rome and Miles noticed. And they told me to go after you, basically. Of course, I told them I wouldn’t.”

“Of course,” I drawl. Andrew gives me a quick peck on the cheek that makes them heat.

“Later, I called Rome and asked him why I felt the way I did about you.” I raise an eyebrow and he starts to clarify. “I felt this pull to you that I couldn’t explain. I asked him about it. He’s the one that told me that we should touch to see if we were fated mates. That’s what happened with him and Benji.”
