Arty assumes a fighting stance but the enemy ships are not deterred. The huge space leviathan swipes at the attacking ships with a force that speaks of ancient strength and power. Each movement is deliberate, a defense of its very existence.

The Malquaran ships stand no chance against such might; they explode upon impact, their debris scattering both into space and to the former platform’s surface.

The scene is chaotic, a clash of advanced technologies and ancient powers. M’ijel and I, still cradled in the hand of the giant being, can only watch in disbelief.

As ship after ship is decimated, the balance of power shifts. The Malquarans, once the orchestrators of this twisted game, now face an opponent unlike any they’ve encountered in many millenia.

For a moment, the ships are gone — but already I can see more amassing in the distance. They will not stop, I realize. Not until this creature is destroyed.

M’ijel

Raising us to the giant creature’s shoulder, Zoey and I feel like tiny specks compared to its colossal form.

“We cannot fight them forever,” Arty informs us. “We possess but a fraction of the power we once did. And the Malquarans are much more powerful now than they were then. We must leave and never return. Tell us, where do you wish to go?”

Zoey and I exchange a glance, a silent conversation passing between us. We’re united, our hands clasped together, a symbol of our bond and shared journey.

Zoey speaks up, her voice clear and unwavering. “Anywhere safe,” she says. “Just so long as I am with M’ijel.”

Her words echo my own sentiments exactly. After all we’ve been through, safety and being together are all that matter.

Arty smiles, a gesture that, despite its alien form, conveys understanding and kindness. “Then perhaps there is a way we can help each other,” it declares.

Its voice carries a note of finality, a promise that resonates with a sense of profound assurance.

Suddenly, a portal opens up before us, a swirling vortex ofcolors and light. It’s a gateway to somewhere else, somewhere safe, away from the dangers and horrors of the Malquaran platform.

Arty and the giant creature sail through the portal, carrying us into the infinite expanse of space on the other side. The journey is instantaneous and the moment we pass through, the portal is shut again.

Zoey’s happiness is palpable. She turns to me, her eyes shining with joy, and kisses me. I am now in my natural alien form, but to Zoey, it doesn’t matter. What matters is that we’re together, safe, and free from the nightmare we’ve endured.

Her kiss is a seal of our love, a confirmation of the life we’re about to start together. I feel a surge of happiness, a sense of peace I haven’t known in what feels like an eternity.

We’re embarking on a new chapter, a journey together, guided by an entity that once symbolized the last vestige of a forgotten civilization.

The AI’s kindness, its decision to become our protector, offers us a chance at a future we hardly dared to dream of. We’re leaving behind the trials and tribulations, the battles and fears, stepping into a new realm of possibilities.

And so, as we sail through the cosmos, held safe within the care of the AI, Zoey and I begin our happily ever after. It’s a tale of love and survival, of overcoming insurmountable odds, and finding joy in the most unexpected of places.

Our story, forged in the fires of adversity, becomes a testament to the enduring power of love and the unbreakable bond between two souls.

“I love you, Zoey,” I say.

“I love you too, M’ijel,” she says.

We kiss and live happily ever after.
