I CAN’T FIGHT the smile tugging on my lips as I sit in between Harley and Tom, glancing around the table at these people who, six months ago, were complete strangers to me, and now, I couldn’t imagine my life without them. I feel more love here than I ever did in my nineteen years with my own parents.

Conrad and Brady are sitting across the table from us, deep in conversation with Sam. Ivy and Wren are sitting further down from them with Lachy and Chiara. The Italian supermodel is sharing an animated story that has Lachy wearing a pained expression while Ivy and Wren throw their heads back laughing. Jordan has his arm around Ronnie’s shoulders as he leans in to whisper something in her ear. She looks up and smiles at him, and I can see the love in her eyes.

“You good, Kitten?” Harley leans over and rests his chin on my shoulder.

I brush my lips over his cheek. “I’m good.”

He squeezes my hand and turns back to his conversation with Zeke.

I grew up in a household where the men ruled with absolute power and the women were controlled by money and their worth. I don’t know if my mother ever loved me, or if she resented me for not being the son that my father so desperately wanted.

The family I have found in Blue Haven have been the complete opposite. The men cherish their women, making sure they know how loved they are every single day. While the men in my father’s world would sacrifice their women for money and power, the men in Blue Haven would burn down the world for their women.
