Aaron splashes me and I try to tackle him. He picks me up and throws me.
It feels exactly like the first time we were here, except the chemistry between us is stronger than ever.
Aaron tries to flip me in the water, but I wrap my legs around him.
He puts my lips close to my neck. “Now, that’s not playing fair.”
I put my lips close to his neck. “I never said I would.”
I push him down with all my strength and push off him.
When he comes up for air, he’s got a determined look on his face. Oh, no.
I try to swim behind Tyler, but Aaron goes underwater, and I know what’s coming next.
My body is flying through the air, and I squeal loudly.
Tyler laughs at me.
Aaron gives me a smug look. “See, he’s on my side.”
“Oh, it’s on.” I start to make my way over to Aaron. “Remember who won the first time we were here?”
He pokes his tongue out at me. “Yeah, me.”
I wiggle my eyebrows. “Oh, really?”
He slowly comes toward me. “Yep.”
I reach him and run my hands down his arms. “I thought there wasn’t a winner.”
He smiles, his eyes burning into mine so intensely I almost have to look away. “I did win, though. I got you.”
My heart pounds in my chest. “Wow, you cheeseball.”
He kisses me softly and my mind goes blank.
Tyler whines and we both laugh.
I get him out of the water and smother him in kisses.
It’s like having a piece of my heart outside my body. He truly is the best thing to happen to me, aside from Aaron.
I stare into his beautiful blue eyes. I feel so blessed to have him.
Aaron watches as I coo over our baby boy. “I can’t believe how quickly he’s growing up.”
I pass him over to Aaron. “I know. I want to press pause and keep him this little for a while.”
He laughs. “That’s not something I can make happen, unfortunately.”
I push out my bottom lip. “I thought you could do anything.”
“Hey, don’t give me that look. I’m just a man and you’re a force of nature. Stopping time or aging isn’t something I have control over.”
I laugh. “Fine, I’ll accept you being a magnificent father and partner.”
He smiles and kisses Tyler on his head. “Speaking of, I’ll put Tyler down for his nap and meet you back here for dinner?”
