"That's my ex," I explain and watch as his eyes darken. "His parents moved to Mountain View a couple months ago so I guess that's why he's here."

"Want me to kick his ass?" he asks, completely serious in his romantic offer.

I laugh. "No. It's unlikely that he'll notice me. Even if he does, he'll think I'm Gillian and they hate each other if you haven't noticed." She hasn't exactly kept her disdain for Dell a secret, even from Xander.

"Are you sure he'd buy that you're her though?" he jokes dryly.

"I'll have you know that I do a spot on Gillian Murdoch impersonation."

He grins before taking a big bite out of his taco. "I bet you do."

"Do you want me to prove it?"

He gives me a challenging look, but then I catch sight of Dell watching us.

Jesus fucking Christ. That slim chance of him spotting me just became fact and, from the look of things, he's not planning to ignore me like I expected.

Why did Dell have to show up here? I just wanted a nice meal with Xander.

"Fucking asshole," I groan as I wrap up my taco so it doesn't spill all over the place while dealing with my dickhead of an ex.

Xander watches me skeptically as Dell walks across the parking lot, like a man on a mission.

"Offer still stands, darling." Xander isn't any more pleased by this than I am.

As Dell nears the truck, I roll down my window and pick up my water bottle, getting in full Gillian mood.

"What do you want, douchebag?" I sneer at Dell as he stops at my window.

He slowly pulls off his sunglasses and hooks them on his shirt before looking me in the eye.

"Have you heard from her?" he presses, not a greeting in sight.

"Even if I had, why the hell would I tell you? My sister has better things to do than wait around on you and your pencil dick." I wish I had some alcohol right about now. I'm seconds away from throwing my taco in his face and this taco isdelicious.

Dell glares at me. "Gillian, your insults are getting old."

"Really? I don't ever recall referring to your mediocre dick in any of my past insults. You must have me confused with someone else, probably some bitch who gives a fuck. Definitely not my sister though. She never wants to see you again so give up. I thought you were done with her this time. Aren't you supposed to be taking interviews for your future trophy wife? I heard Darla on Fifth is ready to apply."

Darla is the known prostitute near my old apartment. She's employed by the Reapers, but she's also older than Dell's mother so that would probably be a last resort for him.

His eyes widen. "She told you about that?"

"Aw, Delvin, baby. Everyone knows about your little stunt. Your little break up is fast becoming legend in San Ho, but if you really want to find her, I'd suggest asking the Reapers where to find her."

I feel Xander stiffen beside me, but I remain calm. There's a method to my madness that he hasn't realized yet.

Dell pales. "The Reapers? The biker gang?"

"One in the same. I hear she's been partying pretty hard with a couple of guys in their crew. You know the deal. Alcohol, drugs. Lots of sex. She's having the time of her life, Delly Bear." I'm poking the beast, I know it, but this bastard deserves it.

"Bullshit. We both know she's not that stupid."

He's right. I'm not that stupid, but I did end up in a similar situation, just the wrong gang.

Drugs, check.

Alcohol, check.
